anime bad endings

recently in animes ive watched ive seen endings that change the whole story in all of the anime like they have nothing to with the main stories and theyre not side stories like the last 3 episodes of evangelion

The last episode of School Days, hands down. Though I do think he somehow deserve that.

They chose the 2 most controversial endings from the VN, just to boost the popularity. If it went to the "pure" roots, it won't have this much impact lol

Clannad after story; the part where they all died, and then next thing you knew, they were alive again. That is the worst ending I've ever seen.

I know no one will agree on me on this but when you watch a series/cartoon/live drama, and you already have seen the protagonist grow based on all the things he or she experienced, and then resolve to do better in the future and atone for all the mistakes the protagonist had done, don't you think it's just stupid for the producers or writers just to come up w/ a reset-it-all thing and boom, you get to start fresh and new. What was the point of the protagonists experiencing all those hardships, all those sufferings, all those things that made him or her change to a strong character ready to face this worlds never ending and random challenges just to reset it from nothing??

I must be narrow minded but I do feel very betrayed about this "good" ending on after story, and I will still say it's bad ending, for my opinion. No, I'm not bringing up hate on this matter, thank you.

I actually liked the ending to School Days. Not everything has to have a pretty ending. It was played out good, although it had a negative connotation. The Mist ruined "bad endings" though.

I think probably the worst ending for me was Desert Punk. I love that anime since it is one of my first anime's, but the series ended with

the start of a war and the main character becoming a bad guy (the bad guy thing is a great plot point though, just the fact that they don't show the war between him and the Underground Mercenaries sucks).

They could have made a whole season or two out of that.

EDIT: I take it back, I remember that Ladies versus Butlers had the crappiest ending.

Worst ending I've ever seen would be to Guilty Crown, the main character got completely screwed over -_-

^GC, the last few episodes were spiralling downward in quality - imo of course.

Worst ending ever, and I'm sure most of you remember. Season 2 of Shakugan no Shana. What a horrible, rushed, and just plain bad ending.

I saw Season 1 and ruined the entire plot for myself by looking it up on Wikipedia. After hearing what happened in Season 2 with that shitty ending I decided not to continue watching it.

The ending doesn't piss me off as much as it probably does some people, but it's annoying as hell having an anime that follows the manga almost exactly up 'til the last like 5(I think) episodes. An ending with a blank screen and text saying "Fuck you, gotta buy the manga if you want the rest" would have been better in my opinion. But maybe that's just my general dislike of things being retconned speaking.

Disagree, School Days was a pretty terrible show (in my opinion) but that ending was oh so satisfying.

or just wait to see how rebuild ends

most anime have bad endings since they can almost never end at the same time as the manga
manga needs slow pacing and anime need to have better pacing

Bad endings are usually rushed endings.

Mirai Nikki, the manga ending was much better.
