Bakemonogatari 12 - It has Hitagi. And even more Hitagi.

More Hitagi than you could ever possibly want. Okay, that's a blatant lie, but Hitagi has more screentime this episode than even in her own arc! And the subs that are out now are NOT troll subs!

Not enough Hitagi to make up for the last few episodes of no Hitagi, even if the entire episode WAS Hitagi.

Hitagi's hairstyle at the beginning was awesome. I'm glad to see character development in this episode, and a correlation to the ED in the "Deneb, Altair, and Vega". How dare they not show us the kiss.

EDIT: So, is this is the last episode, not counting the OVAs that are scheduled? In the joy of the presence of Hitagi, I failed to notice that the cat arc has not been concluded.

Sounds to me you had enough Hitagi. (jk)

Technically, they are not OVAs. They are going to be normal episodes just put on the web instead.

Ah, I see. It's kind of a sobering feeling knowing that Bakemonogatari will be drawing to a close within a month. I enjoyed this series very much. After watching the ending of the episode again, I realize that I would have much rather prefered this episode to be the final episode of the series, simply because of the way it was executed (I wish this was episode 15).

It was probably meant to be the last episode, but making it the last aired episode makes more sense to me than making it the last web episode.

I don't give a rat's ass whether Tsubasa called in sick, was fired or was found dead after being assaulted with a stapler - I loved every single second of this ep.

And yeah, it really does seem this was planed as an overall last episode making it a bit of a shame they didn't manage to stuff some other stuff before it. I was especially hoping for more Araragi development that was shifted into a higher gear during Nadeko's arc. Such as it is the remaining eps might feel a little anticlimactic ... That aside though the ep gave me all that I came to love about the series in it's early stages. In double doses too. Hitagi clearly changed/opened up during this series but she hasn't lost a thing from her initial awesomeness. Hell, she might have even leveled-up...
Didn't even need to see the final kiss because of how great the final scene was handled.

PS/ Them suspicious subs proved really decent if you don't mind the lack of translations on them blinking screens.

Tsubasa Cat - 2

This was by far THE most epic episode of the series. So much development between Araragi and Senjougahara and especially that part in the car when Senjougahara was puttin her hands close to his crotch and whispering in here and I came almost instantly when she sucked his ear :D Gah this ep was awsome.

Finally, Hitagi returns for screentime. I LOVE this episode, really great. If they just showed the kiss, the episode would've been really really great.

I haven't dawwwed this hard in ages. I'm glad to see so much was revealed about how Hitagi feels. Unfortunately some of the shows I watch tend not to write the crucial episodes like this into their arcs. The only thing that could have made this episode better was if it had ended with them SHOWING THE GOD DAMN KISS

I was sitting here for the last few minutes, feeling that happy cry feeling, knowing that the perfect way to end this episode was to have them share a loving kiss.




AND THEN MY HOPES AND DREAMS WERE DASHED AND DECIMATED BY STANDARD ANIME CLICHES. YOU'LL SHOW A HALF NAKED GRADE SCHOOLER BUT WONT SHOW AN EMOTIONAL KISS!??!? GOD DAMN YOU JAPAN

By the way, was anyone else surprised that the driver actually was Hitagi's father? I kept thinking to myself: "That has got to be some stranger or distant relative. Hitagi is just messing with Araragi as usual."

Yeah, I was. Honestly though, I liked that they added him in for a few minutes. Added to Hitagi's character development.

I know right, I was so excited too, but yet again a satisfying ending, Good job SHAFT, Can't wait for the online eps

Just as I thought. Nonetheless, it was unarguably the most entertaining episode I've seen in the series yet (with Senjougara Hitagi-san in it) and it didn't even have anything to do with the titular arc whatsoever. Well, they did talk about Hanekawa for a little less than a minute somewhere along the way.


I wasn't exactly surprised but I did think about it. Well, what made the episode partly amusing was due to the fact that you couldn't possibly tell whether the driver was really her father or not, and knowing her, she most likely could have been just messing with Araragi as usual, as you said.

And yes, this could have been actually the last/15th episode of the series if not only for the broadcast-scheduling conflicts and such. I'd say it was still the best way to end the TV-series as "Tsubasa Cat" hasn't exactly established much of a start from the previous (11th) episode.

I would go on a date with her without hesitation.

Awesome episode, left me with a warm fuzzy feeling in my heart =P Or something like that. Was... enjoyable. And I fukken wish I were Araragi!

The awkwardness of this episode made it amazing.
