The witty interplay is still very prevalent, I see.
I found this episode oh so very interesting. Especially Senjougahara's two confessions. This show just keeps finding ways to keep me engrossed.

Moving the episode discussion back to 'episode discussion' does seem like a proper way of handling things. This place has been a ghost town lately... Plus I don't have to worry bout them spoilers.
Anyways, not my favorite episode perhaps and there just was something off with the animation (as ridiculous as it may sound concerning a Shaft production) but I still liked it. Hitagi's role was secondary this time around but the confession ensures that she won't be pushed aside by the producers therefore making me glad (her character will probably get warmer and warmer from here on out which seems a bit of a shame). Mayoi filled the heroine_of_the_week shoes quite nicely and I'm equally glad she ain't completely gone from the show. The 'first touch' (and following fight) along with the 'omedeto gozaimasu' during the confession were priceless.
Wonder it we'll ever see an episode that doesn't happen in that damn same park ... ^_^
ps/ Looking forward to Arararagi-san introducing his new girlfriend to everyone and the possible rivalry with Tsubasa.

Anyway, this was an enjoyable episode with some surprises. Hitagi's confession being the biggest one. I am disappointed in myself for not seeing that Mayoi was a ghost. It explains why Hitagi didn't start saying things about Araragi's smallness after he defeated and then laughed in victory over the loli. I thought that maybe Mayoi's mother had moved somewhere else or that Mayoi's mother was dead.
Edit: I do wonder if Araragi's violent tendencies are another side-effect from being turned into a vampire.

Just a figure so speech there ... heroine_of_the_arc would have probably been more accurate but since Hitagi stole a crapload of this arc for herself (including the whole episode 3), I thought it wasn't that off.
