OP:
I found the manga extremely entertaining and was surprised that it was being animated, so this is one of my #1 series for the 2011 winter anime season. So..how about you guys/gals? What do you think about it?
(I watched the first ep raw and found it nicely done. Funny as hell. =D ) ^Special episode, not actual first ep. Do not watch if you don't like spoilers
First Ep subbed by crunchyroll comes tomorrow. The raw one I watched was not the real one, but some random special episode that went through 20+ chapters in the manga. No wonder I thought it was moving a bit fast. Good thing I've read the manga, or it would have been major spoilers.
Just saw the first episode my thoughts are that it wasn't that great somewhat a disappointment compared to the manga all the main humor points that got me hooked that was in the manga was barely or not shown in the first episode(covers chapter 1). Still be watching this but I'm hoping for some good fight scenes I have feeling though they may disappoint in that department.
I just watched the first episode, and I must say that it had me laughing quite a bit. The premise of a punk being stuck with the son of the demon king is both odd, and oddly appropriate, and Oga is a very likable main character. I haven't read the manga yet, but this series looks quite promising.
Well, I just watched it and I have to say I am a bit dissapointed. It doesn't give the same funniness as the manga does, but it was still etertaining, so I will defenately keep watching.
Looks like it's trying to be less funny and more cool but that ain't what beelzebub is about. This could go badly wrong. First episode wasn't bad but... it wasn't as good as the manga start imo.

Yeah, pretty much how I felt about it. I'll keep watching though.

I have high hopes for this the manga was hilarious and like you said it didn't get to that level with the anime but it was good nonetheless. Personally I find Beel's crying a bit annoying. I hope the animation will be better once the plot get moving and when they get to fight scenes
apparently there is an OVA for this series now...watched it today and it pretty much recapped the first two episodes with a little bit of exta stuff thrown in, it was long though. little over a half an hour for the full episode.
