i might be exaggerating to say...but it's just that good...in short, it exceeded my expectations in every aspect and maybe more...cross game just blew me away...further than i could ever imagine...
i would spend hours articulating an overly-thoughtful review but there's nothing more meaningful than to simply suggest everyone out there to experience the beauty of it for themselves...now..with that being said...

I can truly see myself following this series; my only concern is that of its "subbing" since not that many groups saw its potential or for "whatever" reasons chose not to do this series... it's already been a week since I saw episode one, now where's the second?! Come on Shiki, isn't it about time you released it? I don't know about this Jade subs - though I'm fully aware that they're fuckin' slooower... heck if I'm not mistaken, they even have other series that they have yet to finish.
Another thing that slightly bothers me is the ghost of Wakaba at the OP. :roll: In a way, I had a bit of trouble coping with its neat and simplistic "old school" art work; I couldn't tell if was indeed the young "deceased" Wakaba shown in the OP or someone else who only looked similar, most particularly the one holding the umbrella while Koh was running... she somewhat looked "older" for someone who have died appx 4 years ago. On the same note, (at first glance) I wasn't able to "firmly" differentiate "young" Koh's and "young" Aoba's appearances from one another... I know that it's their hair that tells them apart but they do closely resemble as well. Well, it wouldn't be much of an issue any longer (4yrs have passed)...
A highly recommendable series nonetheless. :D

I loved this episode, though I must say the episode shocked me a great deal. (Haven't read the manga) The OP kinda doesn't make sense to me since it spends a great deal of screen time featuring Ko and Wakaba when Wakaba died in the first episode.
