Darker than Black: Ryuusei no Gemini ep3

Haba haba haba, this season doesn't cease to surprise me.
First off all Hei does indeed seem to have lost his powers and for a second there I thought Suou took them over. Seeing hoverer that her power seems to be the magical anti-tank rifle of her soul (the stupidity of this concept is luckily the only major flaw of the ep) it's fairly likely that he'll regain them soon enough. For now I'm interested to see the 'grim ripper' (he earned that name prior to becoming a contractor if I'm not mistaken) kick ass without his powers.
Suou getting a powerup is also welcome since it seems to overwrite her silly "I don't want to kill" approach making her a more fitting character.
The Hazuki/Genma duo also surprised me with how big of a bloodbath they staged since I kinda thought they'd be something closer to the good guys of the season. Not that a term like that exists for dtb ... Shame they finished off the magician though.

Yin is becoming even more of an enigma and I'm kinda unsure of what Hei said at the end of the ep. Translations differ and I'd really appreciate some feedback from someone fluent in Japanese. For now it seems (to me) as though no one died (yet) and "that woman" Hei's referring to might not be Yin or that Yin somehow changed into something worth killing.

PS/ Why the fuck did we get Suou service (they making Hei more and more into a pedophile btw), Yin service and no Misaki service even though she had a perfect scene for that !?

Two of my expectations were met, with Mao getting into squirrel (how the heck did he survive the Hell's Gate incident btw?) and Hei losing his powers.
Another part worth mentioning might be the way Suou got her powers... I've got a feeling that the electricity coming from Hei somehow affected the round glass on her neck (which is probably not a meteor fragment, right?) thus awakening her contractor powers?
I'm really starting to like the golem guy. He's awesome! As for their party being too violent... All the groups in this season apparently try to get Shion/Suou and this group obviously doesn't cooperate with Russian military. They're probably in the same position as Hei&company during S1, working for the Syndicate.
But yeah, Magician could have got some more airtime, huh.

The part after ED... I've got [BSS] verison and there it goes like >Hei: "Yin... I... I will kill 'her'.".

Considering the memories part, where Yin cries, there's mountain of dead bodies and Hei tries to reach her, it doesn't really look like he wants to kill Yin.
Therefore, from the way he speaks, I guess he's talking about someone else (but this might be and probably also is wrong thought).

Fairly identical to what I'm thinking. The way he phrases that sentence really seems like he's talking about 2 separate people. There's also some mysterious 'her' being mentioned as the one giving orders to both Hei and Mao towards whom they refer with an "ano onna" as well. While it would be weird for Hei to be working for someone he intends to kill, I'm not ruling that out.

In the universe of DTB, it would be surprising if he didn't work for someone he wants to kill or at least someone he doesn't approve of. Most likely.
But the part about killing is simply confusing. If there really is something behind Hei speaking about ANO ONNA, people with no knowledge of Japanese wouldn't get it (those "her" marks really don't help pointing out that he's talking about someone else - I had to actually watch that scene twice more before I figured out why there's "her"). And we, who have the lowest basic knowledge might as well read too much from that phrase.
Maybe it was the authors goal to confuse fans and squeeze some speculations out of us, or we're just thinking too much. But I hope we're right, Yin SHALL NOT DIE!

i think the last part does say he will kill yin referring to あの　おんな　くろす　literally translating "that woman i will kill/slay" resulting in mao being surprised.
I totally called Suou obtaining contractor powers in the other thread :)

As I said I'm not any good in Japanese (started learning 2 months ago), but from what I've been taught so far, if Hei were to certainly mark Yin as his target, it would be more proper to use Yin's name, not "あのおんな" or, given the context, he wouldn't have to use any subject at all.
Also I'm pretty much sure that sentence goes "あのおんあをころす。", or at least that's what I can hear... meh.

This might be just a misunderstanding resulting from lack of grammar knowledge, but given the circumstances (Hei's memories), this theory might have some slight trace of credibility.

Am I the only person who thought it was pretty tragic that Nika died? I actually liked the guy, despite his lack of longevity. Comrade Tanya is delicious.

I wonder, however, about Suou's ability. Is it limited only to that single rifle? The OP would seem to suggest so, but it is to be seen.

Not me, sorry. He might have not deserved a awesome gruesome death like that though.

I'm kinda thinking she's able to Archer-style trace weaponry she sees. The rifle probably seemed the only thing she ever saw capable of harming a contractor while utilizing what her father taught her.

I drooled over Tanya... This anime is meeting almost all my expectations!

I think Suou's powers is akin to that of Archer's except there is no reality marble and no need for magic circuits, I mean she summoned an anti tank rifle and sniped a whole bunch of people, isnt that something archer would do except with that excalibog thingy?
