Honestly, I believe he lived. For instance why is C.C out in the middle of the country side. I doesn't make any sense for her to leave the city (it's not like she was being persecuted.) and live(I guess) in the country. It would indeed make sense if she did go to the country side if she had Lulu with him because he would be persecuted. Also if he stayed around, people would just generate more hate towards him for surviving, so I guess exile. Another critical point is why did orange-kun let Suzaku kill him, if you recall orange-kun dedicated is entire being to protect Lulu. In all, yea I believe he is alive. Probably getting it on with C.C.

Physically Yes, but like her mother, his spirit can be transferred to another person's body. because at the end, why is C.C. talking to lelouch, it's like in the middle of the series where C.C. is talking to lelouch's mother in her mind right?

I'd have to recall things and rewatch CG cause it was one of the series I started watching near the end instead of the beginning. I'd place my guess right now that he was really killed, Lelouch did not have his mother's geass which allowed her to transfer bodies. Or it could be that he was in CC's head, like he was in her memories.
