Dragon Ball Kai 2

Well Raditz has taken Gohan hostage and Goku and Piccolo have teamed up to stop him.Raditz keeps thinking his scouter is malfunctioning when he sees Gohan's power level is 710.I love the part where Raditz is like "You must kill 100 earthlings in order to join us or your son will die" and everyone's like "Goku will never kill anyone because he's not a murderer"I can't wait for the next episode.

I just feel no point in re-watchin it. I saw the anime and I know what is gonna be cut out or slightly edited... so why bother? If they reanimated it to the point of making it look like the intro... I woulda exploded in my pants FAST! That's what I thought they were gonna do but they didn't and it made me very sad :( . I'll buy the DB:Kai DVD since I never bought DBZ DvDs (cause of the lame ass fillers) but that's about it.

FMA:BH did not disappoint me. It went above my exceptions... the first episode made me drool and dream about it.

This would have been a lot better had they given a redesign of the scenes like in FMA BH like Afroman said. All this is to me is the exact same thing (which it is) just a little more pretty. That does not justify a rewatching of this series in my opinion even if it is cut don to just 100 eps.

I don't know why so many people are against this series. It's basically just re-running the series for people who didn't catch it years ago. Toonami showed the same filler-filled episodes over and over again, and people loved it. Why the hate this time?

Besides, why would they re-animate 100 episodes of a series when the original quality isn't horrible. This cannot be compared to the new FMA series, seeing as Brotherhood and the first FMA anime are going to be two completely different things, what with Brotherhood following the manga.

If you don't want to rewatch DBZ, then don't watch Kai. Even if this was a "new" series with new animation, it'd still be the same story, so what's the deal? I like DBZ, I hated the anime for having so much filler, and DBZ is worth rewatching (to me). So I'm glad this came out.

Maybe I worded my above post wrong. I'm not against this series. If you or anyone else hasn't seen DBZ then they definitely need to watch this (tho i would wait for the Dub cause Goku's voice sucks). It's just that I have seen the original and for me to want to rewatch this it would have had to be something like what FMA BH is doing.

It's impossible for this to be like FMA BH. That series is going to be completely different from the first anime, story-wise and art-wise. If they changed the story of Dragonball, then it wouldn't follow the manga, and that would be horrible.

Even if it was a revamp of the story (which btw I didn't know FMA BH was a completely different story, I thought the main stuff and premise was still there i.e. mother dieing etc). A revamp of the story would convince me a veteran of the DB series to watch it. The people that haven't seen the manga take of the story could always just watch the original DBZ and not DBZ Kai. Tho I'm just giving what it would take me personally to watch it. I don't speak for the other fans of the series who make take something like that as blasphemy.

Brotherhood will follow the FMA manga, so while the beginning of it will be very similar to the original anime, after a while, it will be completely different.

As for revamping DBZ, I don't see what the point would be, even if it would interest fans of the series. The story's perfect as it is, isn't it? All they could do is introduce a new enemy, and that's been done by all the DBZ movies. Plus, it was proven by Dragonball GT that when a company comes up with its own storyline for DB, it sucks hard.

But this is kind of a revamp for the series. Cutting out all the filler and going from 291 episodes to 100, that's a big deal. It's going to be like watching a different series, except the main plot points will still be there. The action will be more enjoyable, since it won't constantly be interrupted by Bulma and her stupid shit or people just talking, and we won't have to deal with silly extended fight scenes that make one battle last for a dozen episodes. Well, hopefully we won't have to deal with that shit. Only two episodes have come out, but those are the promises.

There are a lot of good shows this season, and I can understand people not wanting to rewatch DBZ when there are great new series to watch, but to a lot of people, DB Kai is a gift from God.

I'm not watching this series. After all, I have the entire DBZ on my hard drive. Plus, I view this series the same way I view FMA: Brotherhood. The only reason why I watch FMA: Brotherhood is that I'll see something different by the end, not like Dragonball Kai where it cuts the filler but is still similar to DBZ through plot and endings.
