I see, so things are finally looking up a bit. I don't think there's even a need to mention it but anyway, this episode surely has given us a hindsight on the "game" and on another "participant" aside from Akira(and "the guy" from the previous episode). So despite figuring out that there seems to be something at stake and the "nine other players" who are presumably in it as well, there still isn't much of an indication what this game really is all about.
I believe the clues were already scattered all over the place/episode and we'll just have to make sense out of what we could gather.
Guess I'll list some of it from what I could recall...
- "Careless Monday(?)" Missile attacks!... and there's supposedly no casualties "until just now" (when a plane got hit by a missile). Coincidence? Nah, I doubt it.
- A must spend amount of "8,262,307,719 yen"... something of huge significance in to finding out what sort of game is being played here.
- Juiz: "Your wish is my command." ("instantaneous" at that)
- The "officer" who's pretty much "into" this game. Why was he being informed with Akira's balance of transactions?
(from the things that he did and mentioned)
-- A Neuroscience Lab named after this Harima person who may have been the one responsible for Akira's "brainwashing".
-- Heck, is Akira, or any of the participants for that matter, suppose to bring prosperity to Japan? (does a particular number corresponds to a particular task or duty?)
-- "No holds barred" (no rules whatsoever) so it seems as even to the extent of eliminating "outsiders/bystanders" is completely tolerated.
- Akira's vague memory of his own past yet has a vivid recollection of the movies that he had seen.
What else...
Noblesse oblige
Apparently, according to Wiki:
1. Whoever claims to be noble must conduct himself nobly.
2. (Figuratively) One must act in a fashion that conforms with one's position, and with the reputation that one has earned.
Something quite relevant to their Shakespear "motto"
All questions huh? Though I already have a few things/ideas in mind but nothing much that I can be certain of. This is really interesting...
What else is left to say, the animation was just as fluid as the first, plus nicely blended background tunes which set the mood at some of the rather significant and humorous scenes. All I can say are praises. :D
This "view" got me thinking about something...
(I'll keep that certain thought to myself for now)
ed:
I'm fuckin exhausted... guess I'm gonna sleep this thing off. I might even have a significant dream about it. I'll just deal with whatever that I may have forgotten to mention later.
.......
Unfortunately, I couldn't quite recall any dreams that I may have had last night (as usual). I'm not yet in the mood to discuss seeing that it's only Nate once again (and ZeroOBK) who've posted so far. For now, all I'd say is that I don't quite agree with everything Nate have said, although he's made some good points (which got me into thinking)... some of it are rather already visible and are merely "speculations" still. I need to gather more "intelligence" from the rest of those who are watching this... (I'm not quite fond of replying once every other single or couple of post that's worth replying to you know) - in other words, I'm pretty lazy.
So hopefully, before all of my motivation gets eaten up by my laziness, this series gets more feedback (intellectual ones preferably) really soon.
