Fave's of 2008

First of all, I would like to wish everyone here at Fakku a Merry Christmas. So with Christmas here, 2009 is just around the corner and 2008 is just about ended. 2008 is a great year for anime and otaku like events. So, the most popular anime, leading male and females, and OP/ED goes to? Why did i put this here instead of the anime section? This place gets visited moar. Nuff said. :D

For me, it goes something like this.
Code Geass R2, obviously :roll:
Lelouch, was made of pure win.
Sheryl Nome, was just awesome. Some major character development there.
Songs from Macross Frontier are generally my top. But who can forget Toradora's killer OP and ED. Kannagi's OP is also notable, along with Clannad After Story's OP. Hell, even Gundam 00's latest OP is good. Just cant pick.

Vampire Knight would be mine. The manga started in 05' but the anime didn't start until 08'
I'm stuck between Kaname
and Zero
Both are main characters in the anime, and I can't choose between the two, though if I really really had to - I'd have to choose Zero, but his fate doesn't seem like it'll turn out like he wants it. Dunno yet ;x Vampire Knight Guilty isn't done.
Leading female for that would be of course Yuuki

BLOOD.GORE.VIOLENCE.WIN.
Male lead - Sebastian Michaelis (Black Butler)
"a butler and a demon". Winning combination.
Female lead - Rin Asogi (Mnemosyne)
Cunning.Sexy.Ruthless.The glasses is the icing on the cake.
Songs - Kuusou Rumba (Zoku Sayonara Zetsubou-sensei), Oblivious (Kara no Kyokai), Continued Story (Code Geass R2)
Anime OST - Nodame Cantabile Paris
CLASSIC ROCKS.HARD.

The easiest and yet hardest question for a professional otaku :P
After going through my anidb list I think it will be :
Best 2008 anime : Tsubasa Tokyo Revelation
Technically started late 2007 but 2/3 aired in 2008 and I watched the whole thing this year.
After the ups and downs of the first 2 full seasons the OVA simply blew me away! If it doesn't count then Geass R2 or xxxHOLiC: Kei.
Leading Male : Zero/Lelouch - Code Geass R2
While it might sound lame, I'm a sucker for the more darker, badass protagonists and he was one of the very very few characters who were properly developed in the series.
A bonus prize would go to Kogarashi from Kamen no Maid Guy for the shear GAR factor:P
Leading Female : C.C. (CG R2), Sheryl (Macross F), Horo (Spice and Wolf)
If you force me to choose between them, I'll simply shoot myself. I love them to the point of worship and simply can't do it.
Best OP/ED : Lion and Northern Cross from Macross F
Reason - I'm still listening to them like crazy :P Along with Kara no Kyoukai, Frontier had also the best soundtrack IMO.
