Garghh!!!! We get an opening and it looks like the prequel will not go into the canon storyline. It's probably canon to the side story of Yomi's term with the Countermeasure department.
I'm sorta pissed that this isn't an adaptation of Ga-Rei's real storyline, and we don't get to see Kensuke with his iron of justice(Cameo in this episode, I fucking love that thing) or crazy mafia girl. I was also looking forward to seeing Kagura with longer hair. There's also the creepy scenes with the dolls that I really would love to see a colored production of. BAH!
At least the storyline is new(to me). And instead of the Ken x Kagura pairing, we get the hot Kagura x Yomi, sexy lesbian pairing(that kiss was HOTT!). YES, finally, I get to know the personality of the man who created an iron to be used as a spiritual weapon and walks around naked at the airport. First impression, I'd say Michael is the best character by far, they nail him to the bat, from his accent to his eccentricity. And we get to see Byakuei rape everyone, animated!
*sigh* Still, my only hope is that this is popular enough to get a second, Canon, season.
The kiss was definitely hot. And the bath scene was too. So awesome.
I know what you mean when you said you were kind of upset it wasn't an adaptation and I agree there. But I'm still enjoying it so far. It's cool too because the manga threw you into the middle of it all. It didn't have much of an explanation on the whole Yomi thing. The anime seems that it's going to go into great detail and it should be fun.
One thing I really enjoyed about the manga was that it was cool and had some very funny parts in it, such as Michael. The first few episodes seemed like it was going to be a very serious series, but this episode changed that. Seeing Michael and him done perfectly, and also having the Douglas 28 was hilarious. I'm glad they had that stuff in there and I can't wait to see what else they have in store for us.
