"General Discussion" Discussion

I think we've hit a wall. There hasn't been any real General Discussion about anime overall. Sure there's the LOVE, HATE and I'D TAP THAT SO HARD threads but it's not really that entertaining. Maybe it's because most of the people usually go to Random, IB, SD, Uploads and the actual ANIME/MANGA threads and rarely people come here. Have we already used up all the topics about general anime discussion?

Probably not. People just havent thought of things to really talked about. Since all the dramas are in the Random and IB sections. Dramas seem to be the most interesting. So people tend to go there the most and tend to ignore the other threads.

the problem is people the read stuff/topic about animes they dont no about and mostly these people read mainstream or populars and interesting less popular loses it's appeal and attraction while mainstream ones such as naruto/bleach/OP r so over talked they burn out for one topic to really be alive you need a share interest/taste in anime

I believe it has become a tradition for the general discussion section since no one have been posting any anime realted discussion topics and thus leading it's purpose to be made for short lived threads instead.

Most anime talks are made more at the anime sections.

I've always thought this particular board was rather pointless. I don't like versus threads, regardless of whether they stay civil or not; and I'd rather talk about an anime specifically than something in general.

Anyone want to go into anime history, public perspective/attention, stereotypes, genre discussion, etc.? I mean, these are potentially huge topics to talk about... but I'm too darn lazy to make a thread for those rather hefty topics. (I do have a lot to say about anime stereotypes.)
