ghost in the shell arise border 1&2 confusing

I just wanted to know if I'm the only one who had a hard time following what was going on in these two movies. I've watched 1 and 2 and find them so packed with info my head can't take it. I had to re- watch border 1 and got a better understanding of what was going on but I feel like they tell you so much so fast it's hard to take it all in. I watched it with subs like all my animei so I don't think I was missing anything I just think it was to much at one time. What do you think about the pacing of the shows? And did any of you have a hard time follow what was happening?
