[Locked] Gunslinger Girl: Il Teatrino

So I picked up Gunslinger Girl s1 again. I stopped watching it a while ago because it was hard to find the episodes and yeah I wasn't that much into it. Well couple days back I decided to give it another shot and I found myself loving it. I watched all the episodes in one day (I started from five) and was really happy cause I knew there was a s2 and I could start watching it directly after.
I finished s1 and found the first episode of s2 and yeah... At first I didn't know who the characters were cause' the animation changed so drastically. As I kept on watching THE FIRST EPISODE I became disgusted. It was nothing like the original not even in animation. I stopped watching after that first episode failure. What happened to the series? Why did they change EVERYTHING! Henrieta looked like a loli version of her original loli version xD
Edit: Also what I Really Liked about the original was the soundtrack. It was one of the big points of me watching it. The new one has horrible music.

Let me first say that a thread for season 2 exists
Gunslinger Girl Season 2
and with that I would like to mention that despite animation changes, this series (both seasons) is still one of my favs simply of the basis that Henrietta and Angelica are win!

Like what Spalose has mentioned, there is already a similar, if not identical, thread in existence. As a result, I would have to lock this particular one.
Although I have never watched both seasons in depth, my preference lies with its manga counterpart. Sometimes, it is difficult to say if an anime title is bad. The animation studio may be trying to protray a different feel to the series, injecting their own ideas and creativity.
