I have yet to watch this but I'd certainly do so later. And I sure hope to see more of Sakuya and Isumi in it.

Well, one of Hayate no Gotoku's charming points as an anime series was that it often broke the 4th wall, something that not a lot of anime do. It helps build the pattern of humor that Hayate no Gotoku is known for.
I totally agree but I also do believe that often times, it also tends to turn-off the more matured audiences.

Gintama also breaks the 4th wall, but in a more zanier fashion.
The only advantage that Hayate no Gotoku would ever have against Gintama is its premise. Surely, most anime viewers nowadays are more attracted/inclined to watch a series that features more female characters, which brings a variety of "moe-ness" on the table. However, in terms of overall comedy/humor, Gintama wins it for me hands down. I'd have preferred to say that Gintama has more of an unorthodox style rather than zanier but either way, it's absolutely true in more ways than one.

I love whenever the narrator voice speaks - it's fucking funny.
Norio Wakamoto never fails to make me laugh just by the manner he speaks! Just to add, he also plays a part in Gintama as Matsudaira, Shinsengumi's "violent nutcase" superior. (although he only appears on rare occasions)
