Hetakoi

Anyone else reading this? I searched the title and got no returns.

Three volumes have been translated, with two chapters of the fourth volume released today, for a total of 20 chapters so far.

It's on mangafox and mangatraders, though the latter is so bad lately that I recommend the former.

Thoughts: Grandpa Komai has to be one of the cooler male leads to a romance I've seen. I absolutely love the college setting, and the characters don't disappoint. They act much more rationally and decisively, a welcome change from the norm.

Nicknames are awesome. Komai, a college freshman, is called Grandpa because he's so old-fashioned, and his friend, who just wants to get some, is called obscene dick.

I heavily recommend this manga for the seinen romance lovers. This manga's just amazing.

I agree, this is a good manga. I respect grandpa as a down to earth person. I especially like him because he isn't indecisive like the common male leads tend to be.

I would say that he IS indecisive, but not in the ways that frustrate readers. His indecision is on how to get his relationship to progress, rather than to confess or not. I think I speak for most (if not all) of us when I say that indecision regarding confessions instantly labels you as a bonehead, typical shounen harem lead.

This manga is a seinen romance, which makes everything better.

In other news...

Volume 4 translated entirely. Half of what's been released in Japan has been translated. Volume 9 comes out next spring or something.

I really enjoy this manga. We're going to get our love triangles soon, which is where the drama will intensify. The characters are just so realistic that I am that much more compelled to sympathize with them.

I do miss the twins and even Obscene dick, but Nagisa has shown to be very interesting thus far and like Komai, I just don't have it in me to hate Tsucchi.

Solid, solid manga. There's enough fanservice to keep people satisfied, and the story is outstanding. More people should read this!

When I said he wasn't indecisive, I meant he focuses on one woman rather than getting led on by many. What you described wouldn't b called indecisive, but rather inexperience and insecurity. Besides, he did confess his love to her a few chapters ago.
