I'm personally not happy about the prospect that Apachi may be dead, or that Koukin is still being a dick about the whole thing (even if he's fighting honorably). I'm glad that Apachai was able to take down Agaard, but I sincerely hope that Kenichi beats the shit out Koukin in the next chapter... he seems pretty pissed, though, so he might end up killing Koukin if Miu doesn't get there in time. Like the caption at the end says, the next chapter is a must-see. I'm definitely looking forward to it, but damn...

Saw that coming. Never fails in a shounen manga. Any attack that doesn't seem like it did shit, will always knock the guy out a few moments later.

But technically, Agaard lost if Apachai survives, since he was aiming to kill, while Apachai was only looking to defeat.

And it looks like Kenichi can tap into both Sei and Dou. Only Dou type fighters have those laser eyes, and Kenichi's fighting is solely fueled by his emotion right now. He's definitely using Dou right now, since he's trading blow for blow and completely disregarding his Seikuuken.

I completely agree with you on this, it seems to be a tradition in manga that no blow is completely useless, so I have to say that I had a feeling that Agaard would be down. And I hope that Akisame and Ma can save Apachai somehow, if it's humanly possible... who knows, maybe the big guy was just knocked out by the force of Agaard's punch and could pull through the wound...

Good chapter is good.

To be honest, I believe Apachai is dead. He swore he would protect Kenichi with his life, and he probably just did. I have no doubt that all the other masters felt Apachai's ki completely vanish. If they felt he wasn't dead, Kisame/Ma would've rushed to save him. Given their attitude, Apachai is gone. Or perhaps they don't want to interfere in Kenichis fight since it'll probably give him a major advantage against Koukin. No matter how good he is, having several of your opponents masters around must psyche you out in someway.

Hope I'm wrong though. The manga would've lost a whole lotta funny, and gotten a hell of a lot more serious if this happened. And honestly, the manga would feel...complete without Apachai. His interactions with all my masters really cement what Ryozanpaku is.

Sei and Dou are fighting styles. Sei type fighters keep a calm mind while fighting, which allows them to use moves like Flowing Water Seikuken, which is the ultimate form of Sei. Ma, Kisame and Shigure are Sei type fighters.

Dou fighters use emotion, usually anger, to increase their power. Generally, I guess you could call them beserkers. Sakaki, Apachai and Miu are Dou type fighters.

Maybe this is why Kensei was so interested in Kenichi, he was interested in mixing Sei and Dou styles, and it definitely looks like Kenichi is combining the two. I guess Miu might have just sensed Kenichi going berserker and been worried because she remembered what happened to Ryuto.
