I just finished Watching Needless...

and at first I could see why people compared it to Gurren Laggan, but as it got more and more into the story I think people are just saying that because of the art style and theire trying to stick the Gay I mean Gar tag on another anime.

That anime was good and sort of Nostalgic to anyone that watched 80's-90's anime such as Fist of the North Star, Akira, Jojo's Bizzare Adventure, and even Dragon ball Z...

I dunno I guess this was just a rant cuz of so many people trying to stick the Gar tag on a poor defenseless anime for no reason, not that its a bad thing, but last time I checked Kamina wasnt chasing random ass on the street like Adam Blade... then again neither was Goku nor Jotarou...

But I digress...

Shows not bad I love that pic of yours, but I agree that it isn't like Gurren Laggan at all. It's like when people say all Shounen manga are the same, sure there similar but no the same. It's just people trying to find a way to describe something easily.

Thinking that Needless and TTGL are the same or have similar levels of GARness is folly. We don't see Kamina chasing anything that has boobs and a pussy like Adam does.

The 4 things that these 2 anime have in common:
1) Epic, Badass, Manly, Main Guy:
Both Kamina and Blade's outfit are kick ass. Their attitudes are even more kicks ass. What ever comes out of their mouth is manly epic; and the shit that they both do in situations is fucking blow it out your ass manly epic KICK ASS!!!

2) Badass Second-Banana Character:
Both Kittan and Teruyama are the second badass *except for the sidekick, bad guys and hottie* toward the main badass. Even though their actions isn't on the same level as Kamina and Blade, they still show that they're trying to be second to none(not by killing the main badass but by out doing them).

3)The Beginning Useless Sidekick:
In the beginning of these series, both Simon and Cruz(Yamadako chan) were pussy from the start who made us all wanna watch more of Blade and Kamina. Toward the end of their series that we all find that they're worth a damn. Simon became Kamina MK2 and in my book, Cruz didn't really change all that much but he kinda grew pair.

4)Hot Chick Who Does Some Epic Things While Wear Less Clothing For The Justice:
What the titles says is what Yoko and Eve have in common. *When you think about, Eve doesn't really wear clothes, that's her power clothing her.*

Never seen any of those animes you mentioned (besides Needless).

I guess seeing as it uses so many of the successes proven in the past is why I found it enjoyable.

Pretty Girls Squad!!!!

The ending was a let down and felt kinda rushed but besides that its very very intense in its own rights. However I think the ending is copying TTGL just a bit off limit. Why?

I haven't seen the TTGL (yet), but I enjoyed Needless with all my heart. The characters made me laugh, rage, scream with joy and even cry manly tears [Saten ;_;]. Well, except for the ending, which Madhouse made on their own and kinda sucked, the Needless is most kick-ass anime I've ever seen, and if TTGL is similar in any way, I am definetly going to watch it!
