Introducing Anime

So, my little brother is turning 4 soon, and I was thinking it'd be nice to have some common ground, such as anime. Now, this kid is pretty smart for his age. And I mean smart. I was thinking of starting off with one of the classics, Gundam Wing. What do you guys think? I think it'd allow for some good "bonding time".

He sort of knows about vocaloid already. He knows Miku by her "blue-hair", Luka by her pink hair and the fact that he knows she is my absolute favorite, and Len and Rin since they are "brother and sister" (easier explanation than the mirror image thing.)

Gundam Wing sounds fine to me. Some parts were a but heavy though, like the Wing Zero making people crazy. Eh, should be fine.

Then do you have any other suggestions? I don't think I should show him Sailor Moon or DB series.

For a child, I suggest a movie from Studio Ghibli.
I'd start with Spirited Away. These guys make fantastic movies for all ages.

Oh yeah, I forgot about Studio Ghibli. I think I'll start him off with My Neighbor Totoro instead of Spirited Away. I don't think he has the....attention span for it. If he magically happens to be more attentive (still has a month till his birthday, and I'll show it to him sometime soon after that) by the time I decide to pull out one of the movies then I'll show him Spirited Away, Totoro, and Howl's Moving Castle. Thanks.

Castle in the Sky from Studio Ghibli is also really good.

Make him watch Boku no Pico.

So you want him to start with "old shool" anime, huh ?

I still have to watch Pico....and the old school is as much as for the bonding thing as it is for me wanting to watch them as well. Call it nostalgia. And I don't want my parents setting him against anime since they find it weird even though they renewed my interest in it by renting me Desert Punk.

Anything by Ghibli is a good idea, and if he likes the classics like gundam I would recommend anything that was on the old Toonami like Outlaw Star or Tenchi Muyo.

Maybe G Gundam? Probably not another Gundam series because you might confuse him.

Perhaps a fun and light hearted and light comedy anime might be in order, though I can't really think of an all ages anime.

I remember enjoying Yuyu Hakusho when I was young. Kind of long though.
Zoids would be another ideal title.

Well, i would suggest the same that my brother showed me. Show him Hunter x Hunter or Dragon Ball. Both teaches a lot of good things to have in life and are incredible :)

Try Reservoir Chronicle or tokyo mew mew those stuff brought my lil sister into the awesomeness of anime.Anything on this list seem quite good too
