Akamatsu is right; that kind of copyright control would destroy the dojinshi world. From what I understand, most dojinshi groups start out doing fan versions of already-established series, whether they do porn of it or just drawn fanfiction. It's a way to practice with art and story. Besides, dojinshi has been a big thing in Japan for a very long time. It really does feel like part of the anime subculture. It's hard to imagine not being able to read doujins of my favorite series.

Oh boy, now that sounds like trouble. Unless they put in a specific clause in that protects works of parody or such like that I see a big pile of worms openin up from that.

Honestly, I was actually more surprised to find out that Love Hina and Negima have the same author. I didn't know that! XD
But seriously, this could put a huge damper, and I'm not just talking through my balls. Some of my fav doujinshi are non-H parodies/fanfiction, namely the Persona 4 and Soul Eater ones. :(

Right now Japan sort of turns a blind eye on doujin.

I see nothing. One man said something and others believe in the gospel of truth. The laws nothing for doujinshi in the comiket and hentai doujin realm. The parody is the same in japan has in the states.. as long as you don't claim the copyright is yours and it's in good faith then no crime has been committed. Now what the law will do is make it harder to get away with privacy and bootlegging of copyrighted material not doujin... but ero manga will probably fall under the terms of the law. Remember people... don't follow the pandemonium like the tokyo ban law weebolution. Im more afraid of the ACTA then this do nothing law because:
A: just gives the copyright owners and artist more power over privacy.
B: Longer copyrights terms
C: Gives the artist a choice if he wants the filthy americans to see his work before, during or after the japanese.
Doujin still will be maded and sold, the artist and the company don't give a fuck since they get a cut of the profits up front and the back door with free ad, otakudom and they sponsor stores and events... plus most mangaka do or got their credit from doujinshi works.
