[Locked] Kannagi Ceases Publication: Otaku Blamed

In a shocking an unexpected development, crazy shrine maiden manga Kannagei has ceased publication indefinitely. Fingers have instantly been pointed at the recent extreme actions of otaku “fans”.
The announcement, carried in the latest issue of ComicREX (where Kannagi is serialised), states that the health of mangaka æ¦æ¢¨ãˆã‚Š/ Eri Takenashi is unsound, and so publication is to be suspended with immediate effect.
The magazine begs the forbearance of fans in awaiting further developments, but gives no timeframe for a resumption of publication, and gives no further information on what prompted the suspension.

I read the above piece of news earlier and I am somewhat surprised. All other Kannagi fans, especially that of the manga version may be disappointed. It may be true that the extreme actions of certain otakus may have affected the health of the mangaka, but as of now, there is no concrete evidence to support such a claim.
Perhaps the artist is ill due to other reasons?
Edit: I just moved an identical topic from the "manga, videos and doujinshi" section over here, since it wasn't of the hentai nature, resulting in repeated threads. Therefore, I am going to lock this one as the other was created hours earlier.
