Nick Simmons rips off Bleach

I knew about Nick Simons, I just didn't know he started his own series.. but after seeing the screen comparison of the two. My mind was blown. Here a link to an LJ community with more comparison http://community.livejournal.com/bleachness/446299.html
So what you guys think of this? Have you recently seen any other America artist copy a Japanese artist work?

Ha that's pretty funny doesn't look like he's gonna last long, I mean did he seriously think that no one would notice this? I mean come on with the internet how could he possibly think he'd get away with this.
What is this a conspiracy? Its just one guy taking the easy way out and copying off of a good artist. To rope in all American comic artists with this "son of someone famous and nothing else" would be insulting.
Oh and here's a statement from the publisher.

Oh wow, there are plenty of non-popular mangas that would've been a better choice to plagiarize, but to think an idiot would plagiarize one of the top three in Jump...

2. Because it shows that Japan is so good, even the U.S. is starting to plagiarize them.

1. He's Gene Simon's son(Gene Simon's is this guy) the bass play of KISS.
2.Fans of Bleach hardcore or not thinks it's plagiarism and ripping off the original author.
