Just one epic chapter after another. Oda may pull out yet again another unexpected twist in the story: What exactly will Garp do? It is the Marines plan to execute Ace ahead of schedule and Garp is torn between his duty as a Marine and watching his adopted son to die. Will Garp save Ace?

I foresee two possibilities: one, Luffy and co arrive in time to save Ace and Garp does nothing to stop the rescue. While this could be considered insubordination, Garp does not exactly directly aid the escape of Ace, thus, it would not merit him a severe punishment. The second possibility and the one I think will happen is that Garp does in some way aid in saving ace, and by aid, I mean taking on Sengoku. I just see Garp as the type who would set aside his loyalty to the military for family. Also, I don't think a genius like Oda would put Garp in a position to save Ace if he didn't mean for it to happen. Plus it gives Sengoku a chance to show his wares against somebody around his fight level and not get his ass kicked in a fight with Whitebeard.

I could be wrong though and Oda could pull out an even bigger surprise. We still don't know how Koby fits into the picture and whether Blackbeard will make an appearance in this war. Can't wait for the upcoming chaps.

Okay, first off it seems like you did not fully read the recent chapter. I could be wrong, and if I am sorry. On the issue of Garp, I have an idea on him but need to say something first.

Which is what you said about Luffy. Cause the fact is that he shows up on the last page of the chapter. Falling out of the sky, but he shows up. And from what is said, it seems that they got past the gates by one of Ivankof's wink things.

Now with Garp, I truthfully think he would have been stuck in making a decision to help Ace or not. But with Luffy showing up I think he will, But say he is helping Luffy escape and not Ace. Cause if Ace dies in front of luffy, he will go beserk and try to kill the people who killed Ace. So Garp realizing this will help Ace escape so Luffy does not die, cause if Luffy went beserk the marines would kill him, even with the help from Boa Hancock that he would receive because she loves him, even though she is a Royal Shichibukai.

It's fine, it happens to everyone at some point. It happens to me alot, though not with manga normally. Except right now I can't remember the name of the prison place. For some reason the only thing that comes to mind is Helm's Deep, but that is from Lord Of The Rings.

Wow. Pretty complex analysis you got there. However, I do disagree with you. Garp saving ace ONLY because Luffy showed up doesn't make sense. For one, Garp claims that he feels no pity for pirates and Luffy is a pirate just like Ace so I don't see how that causes Garp's change of heart. Second, Garp not saving Ace despite all his talk of family would be just plain sad. Garp is one of the nicest people in One Piece I know and for him to just sit there and allow Ace to die would make him a villain.

Yeah when I don't have anything to do, I can write really complex things. And with thinking about what you said on Garp's personality. Your right, only thing I can remember Garp doing that could be thought of as villianous. Was when he met up with Luffy and lightly beat the hell out of him. However, he did that in fun towards his pirate grandson, then talked with him, and then let him go, instead of capturing him. Which if he was fully military and held the military higher then family. He would not have let Luffy go, and capture him instead.

EDIT: I was bored so i looked up the Garp beating Luffy up. It's the end of chapter 431, and then the beginning of 432.
