Out of the 3 Admirals, Akainu isn't really that interesting.. He's no cool..
I'm interested in how Squad will pay for his crime.. Maybe in the end, he'll give his life for the sake of saving WB from death.. And the immortal Marco is just sitting there and watch his pops go to the battlefield.. lol..

Macro's probably waiting on some other plan they have cooking, probably to neutralize the Pacifista or the 7 Emperors.
The WB crew has shown some major planning power, I doubt their entire plan has turned into "Let's have the World's Strongest Man, our Father, who is dying from an unknown sickness and just got stabbed, rush in and kick the crap out of everyone.". Plus, we haven't seen what's going on with Jose or any other the other captains in awhile.

I'm wondering if Blackbeard (and his new ally) will show up, or even Dragon? This week we also get volume 0 in Jump so we'll be getting more than twice as much One Piece as usual.

Whitebeard would have been the great equalizer, but the man is terminal and has just been struck through with a sword. Even WB himself admitted that the strongest don't stay the strongest forever. Expect WB to spend his dying breath on ensuring Luffy and Ace's escape.
Also, I am more inclined to expect a Blackbeard appearance, than either Dragon or Red Hair. Blackbeard did say in Impel Down that he was cooking up a surprise.

That's true. But, what does he plan to do now that he has the Chief Warden(The one that got locked up in Impel Down) in his crew? Right now is a good chance for Dragon to strike also, since they ARE fighting the Marines.

Blackbeard's interests seem to lie in overthrowing Whitebeard whereas Dragon's interests are more to do with overthrowing the Marines. There's a reason for either one to show up but it's more down to how much stuff does Oda want to cram into this arc. He'll probably pay for it later if he puts too much climactic stuff into the current events.
