RideBack episode 8

Well, just as I suspected; Romanov, Goblin, and Kiefer were former comrade in arms during GGP's early years of being a mere "resistance force." The so-called legendary Arizona Battle set the stage for GGP's rise into becoming a military force to be reckoned with, along with the young Romanov (at that time), who was at the helm of the said operation.

The romance is "blossoming" ... (it may have been "cheesy" but nonetheless..."lovely") :oops: :lol: Kiefer explained to Rin how they were chosen and what it truly means to RIDE!
So, this is how you court someone with the use of a RideBack. :wink:

(surely, you now know what I'm talking about in the previous ep discussion) - just notice Rin's glittering eyes, Kiefer's smile, plus the background music. I can't help but be amused.

Well, whatever, they obviously enjoyed their short rendezvous. :D

Too bad that their "date" was spoiled by GGP's "sneak attack" which didn't really come as a surprise. (The gun/back-fight ensued)

Kiefer, near the end of the episode, made an official declaration of war against GGP, most importantly, a personal message to Romanov that he would soon be coming for his head. 8)

I'm a couple of episodes behind schedule (which I'm very aware of)
but in any case, I plan on updating this thread as I see the series progresses. If no ones planning on creating discussion threads for the following eps, feel free to use this thread instead - even if you've seen past beyond this episode.

Not the best ep but still solid ... though the creators would really have to fuck things up bigtime to make me stop enjoying the show.

Some excellent and stylish animation once again. Glad to see they still have some budget left.

Karenbak's hot ass assistant makes me wonder. Too many wicked smiles for a simple sideline character. Make your move baby.

Kiefer's gonna die eventually. I don't see it going any other way. Besides Rin's heart actually belongs to Fuego.

Speaking of Callenbach's secretary, I doubt that she'd be doing anything drastic anytime soon. My assumption would be that she works for the higher-ups and is merely keeping an eye on Romanov's current reign as GGP's commander in Japan.

About Kiefer, nah, I don't see him dying anytime soon either. Not in this "season" and neither in the second, if the series would ever have another. My gut feeling tells me that he's not. Logically speaking, I see no reason and significance in him dying at this point, late in the season. Most importantly, he's not the type of person who would sacrifice himself for anyone else's sake but rather the type who would 'sacrifice anything' for the fulfillment of his objective; that's my opinion of him to say the least. ('except for Rin' of course, as he obviously fancies her) - and I actually do too. :P



If there's someone whom I think would die in the series, it would be Okakura, and most likely Romanov. I hope you wouldn't think that I'm too shallow to even consider the "flesh-wound" he got from this episode would get him killed. (blame it on my insight) :lol: and I even have doubts concerning Romanov dying as well. (I don't wanna talk too soon) :roll:

I honestly refrain from discussing potential deaths but it was you who brought it up first...
We shall eventually find out sooner or later. 8)

I dunno - it just kinda hit me. He seems the kind of guy who goes away with a bang taking the demons of his past with him (Karenbak). Rin could serve as a disciple of a sorts here, taking his ideals into the future after having her eyes opened.
I do believe this will end with ep 12 BTW so it's either anytime soon or never.

No real basis for certainty here but ... sure, I'll take you on :)

I say it again:
"I don t think this is a romance."
"Kiefer will use Rin as a weapon."
Not more only for his revenge.
I know Guys like him first at the end he will notice that revenge is not all ;)

Btw, how can you be so certain that he's in it for revenge? Why would he even refer to his "weapon" as "Princess" to the extent of leaving her to Okakura's capable hands, if he doesn't care for her safety at all? Why didn't he just took Rin along if he only sees her as a mere tool for his so called revenge that you speak of?

Sorry bro, but your statements didn't add well to Kiefer's actions in this episode... and are quite questionable at that.


I feel you... but it's an undeniable fact. Hopefully there will be a second season, if ever the series really does end at episode 12.

It is only my feeling but Kiefer is not the nice guy that he did show.



Kiefer will revenge for his Team that betray by Romanov Karenbach.
That his target and he will all do for his revenge even if he immolation his self or anybody else.

That is why i think this not true love ;)
Even if it is love there can t be a happy end.
