I was wondering if anyone here in Fakku watched this anime. I understand ecchi and SOL anime are more discussed in Fakku more than mecha anime. But surprised there was no topic on Rinne since it was pretty well received and is considered one of the top anime for winter season.
As of this post up to episode 3 have been aired. Its really fun to watch, the comedy is good and the story is really interesting. Its fun to watch how the MC uses her mecha to fight like using the sports move that she learned. It seems she still can't use the mech weapons yet.
Here's the OP for the anime. The op was done by Rasmus Faber, which is amazing!
Did I mention that the mecha are designed by Nissan?
So far I am liking it. The prelude was long enough, so I am next ep (4) they actually start doing some world building with the story. I was so surprised when they announced 2nd season, so that must mean they must be a lot to cover. Hopefully. (Btw: i just love Madoka's "perfect" (maru) gesture).
@Temcor: I had wanted to start a topic on this particular title, but some issues in real-life cropped up, not to mention my annual military training, which took up quite a bit of my time.
In any case, females piloting mecha is not an entirely new concept. But the most important question (at least for myself): is there ecchi fanservie in this particular title? :D
is really killing me in a good way. Seriously, you expect Lan to be the all serious and really means business kind of character and Mugi the ditzy airhead kind of character but this episode proves me wrong. This episode, oh wow Lan... I'm dying of her cuteness and the way she acts this whole episode. The expression that she shows when Madoka gets all friendly with Mugi are priceless. Damn it Lan why do you have to be so adorable...brb going to the hospital...

The first episode have quite a number of scene that I would consider ecchi. Later episodes seems to have some but not much.
The artwork, animation and even the background is very well done!!
Production I.P is on of my favorite animators out there. They're really good!
Off topic: The first Production I.P animation I saw is the King of Fighters Another Day from the spin-off game KOF: Maximum Impact. I was amazed by their work, even until now.
