So I passed by it a few times in mangatoshokan, since I already have several of the series, but I decided to reread it since it was a from a scanlators prospective work (I think).
For those of you who don't know, Robot is super collection of famous manga-ka and manga-esque styled artists who put together short colored works of high production value. 'Range' Murata is the one who started this marvelous collection (if you don't who he is, think creator of Last Exile, Blue Submarine No.6, Solty Rei and Shangri-La), and he has also posed a few other collection series as well besides Robot.
Simply beautiful works and stories, some not even stories but rather pin up art of different and elegant perspectives.
It gained great popularity, so much so that several figures and characters from the anthology were made into high class PVC figures, and currently has 10 volumes starting from 2004.
You'll also see works from manga-ka such as Yoshitoshi ABe and Sanbe Kei to Hyung-tae Kim, who created and produced the characters for the Korean game series Magna Carta.
For those of you collecting art work or your just an enthusiast for rough yet clearly defined work, or just love manga in all its varying degrees, this series is a must look.
Currently, Udon has publishing rights for the series in US. You can find these in any bookstores that would sell manga.
