I've noticed a shit load of animosity towards the infamous I(the following will not be used in order to protect the identity of the subject and will be instead referred to as 'Mr. Dumbass'). So I've decided to present an alternative view towards the events of the School Days anime and later display my opinion of the story.

Hmm seems interesting enough to debate.
However even after seeing this all, and yes I do agree that Sekai is quite the whore of School Days and does contribute to most of the drama, I still believe that Makoto is the main fool in all of this for not having enough balls to actually make decision and stick and commit himself to it (instead of fumbling around with Sekai due to the temptation).
I can understand the temptation of sex trying to tempt him, however to commit yourself to someone and stick with them alas declining the temptation of sex (with someone else) it requires backbone, something which Makoto never really portrayed to have at all. Listing Makoto as a victim because he made a mistake doesn't really work in my mind, he's that mistake of giving in into that temptation a good amount of times and honestly I don't think he should be excused for it that easily. One of the only reasons that he got away with it is because Kotonoha was so devoted (even somewhat obsessed and naive I would say) with him that she would keep coming back until she finally snapped. Makoto just wasn't man enough to stand by his decision because he couldn't make one, always switching back and forth as if he couldn't pick.
Granted Sekai is quite a grade A bitch but that doesn't take away Makoto acting like he did.
All in all this is quite a topic open for debate. Whether you agree with me or not, it's all a matter of opinion though, which is why I could also agree with the fact that both Makoto, for his frequent mistakes and lack of backbone, and Sekai, for her whoring herself out and manipulating others to any extent, are equally to blame.

Well, that was a horrible video. I couldn't read anything. I stopped at the halfway on the 2nd video. MY EYES!
What I got was that it wasn't Makoto's fault and Sekai is a whore.

i agree with both posts above me.
sekai was definitely the start of all this, but then again like granth and unsigned said, he definitely shouldn't have been "that horny bastard" i can't believe he was THAT horny enough to have smex with someone most of the girl characters while he already had a girlfriend. all in all, i still hate him. i was glad that he died, during the entire series, but i felt bad for poor kotonoha. she was so devoted that even when learning that he cheated, she still loved him, AND turned crazy at some point.

I Agree With You Kaien. Makoto Did Look Better In The Manga, But That Doesnt Change The Fact That I Hate Him. I Like Kotonoha Better Than Sekai. Probably Because I Felt Sorry For Her Throughout The Whole Series.

Well, this is what I originally thought before I spent a little time researching this... And by research I mean looking at wikipedia.
And after researching the show and watching the videos I post, this is what I think now.
The fact that Ma(Please note that the name of the subject has been changed to product their identity, and will be referred to as Dumbass #1) would allow himself to fall into such a situation shows that he's foolish and weak-willed. And the excuse of him being 'A teenage boy with raging hormones who was tempted by sex' is a weak one at that. We as human beings are self aware of our natural tendencies and behaviors and have displayed the ability to control our actions dispite those tendencies and urges. So I don't wanna hear "But I'm a man" or "Aren't you a man?!" from anyone again because at this point it's not so much a reason but an excuse and a crutch.
He did try to fix things with Kot(Note the name of this subject has alse been changed and will be instead referred as Dumbass #1's girlfriend) and showed remorse for hurting her, so I'll give him some leeway for that. However, Dumbass #1 still managed to get in one more fuck up by telling Se(This subject will be referred to as Dumbass #2) to get an abortion which is pretty fuckin cold. I don't hate the guy as much as everyone else, but he lost a tremendous amount of respect from me.
Then there's the issue of Dumbass #1's girlfriend. At first I criticized her for snapping and I originally thought she killed Dumbasses #1 & 2, but later research showed that was incorrect. Now considering the amount of abuse that she went through, it's amazing she held it together as long as she did before she turned into a zombie and was brought back by Dumbass #1. Now, I still think she's somewhat weak-willed for taking all the crap everyone gave and not stick up for herself, but I took what my dad said about how people react into account.
Our natural reactions to things-while can be trained or modified-are very random. We're talking about a bookworm whose only companionship probably comes from her little sister, and later on some boy whose attracted to her and some girl looking to get rid of her. I can assume that she's not used to the abuse she went through and didn't know how to handle it.
Finally there's Dumbass #2. Well I'll say she definitely was more involved in this then I thought. Now, I will give her the benefit of the doubt that she wasn't planning all this shit from the start, and I think that video was more biased against her really. But I think it's when Dumbass #1 offered to do something for in return for her help that she began to take advantage of him. Her initial resistance against Dumbass #1's advances would show that she didn't want to do it at first until she began to see that she was going to lose something she wanted all along.
And so Dumbass #2 begins her little plan to pry Dumbass #1 from his girlfriend or any other that would want him. Needless to say Dumbass #2's plan back fired rather miserably and everything turned into a mess thanks to her. But what bothered me was her selfishness towards the end. I will acknowledge that Dumbass #2 ply with having a baby by Dumbass #1, but that doesn't exactly bind him to her unless they were in an actual relationship. What everyone should've done was come together and come to some kind of compromise. But we all know that's not what happens.
Instead Dumbass #2 tries to force Dumbass #1 back with a baby whose existence is questionable (and considering that Dumbass #2 was only a couple weeks in, I'm not sure if Dumbass #1's girlfriend's method was effective) and when he doesn't bite, she knifes him up, causing Dumbass #1's girlfriend to snap, knife up Dumbass #2 in retribution and then go sailing on a boat with Dumbass #1's severed head... This of course causes me to once again question Crax's choice for waifu, but this time that of Dumbass #2 instead of Dumbass #1's girlfriend.
My final verdict of this shit would go like this. If I ever met Dumbass #1 I'd punch him in the face, and while he's on the ground,
Until I hear something snap, so every time he has sex, his orgasm will be extremely painful and blood from his broken genitals will squirt out of his dick
If I met Dumbass #2, I'd one-inch punch her in the stomach with enough force to make her vomit. This is really just to piss her off because she's so convinced that she's carrying Dumbass #1's baby.
As for Dumbass #1's girlfriend. I'd give her a nice big hug because she really needs one. Which reminds. Crax if you're reading this: Hurt that girl's feelings and you better not sleep, ever, mm'kay? :D

I must say, School Days was my first manga / anime that I read, where I stopped and said.. WHAT THE FUCK. I mean really.. I started with the anime at one point and just couldn't get past like esp 3 and deleted it from my hard drive. Then I came across the manga and was like.. Oh hey, a nice little story here. Everything is nice and normal.. Then.. shit hits the fan. Everything gets throw upside down, and I'm left speechless in search of something more.
For me this was a level up and beyond Effen Lied.. But my interest was more pumped up. I download the anime, skim though most of it, maybe later I'll actually watch everything, who knows..
Now.. my biggest peep pees. Dumbass #1 was much better off in the manga.. The anime just made him out to be the biggest pimp he could be.. Which was annoying.. :-\ I mean, really now. Theres like 5 or 6 girls and he needs to get with all of them? Where as in the manga it's just Dumbass #2 messing around... Which is okay I guess.. Hey gotta have some sort of plot.
Even though the manga still should of killed him off, but hey whatever. I might be missing much, but I don't know, everything felt wrong. From Dumbass #2 offering to practice everything from setting the mood to full sex, to her giving the OK for Dumbass #1 to sleep with the other girls, to him just being a complete dumbass.. I can't say which got on my nerves more.
Like everyone else above me, Kotonoha really deserved a lot better then she got. Hell after everything she was put though, when Dumbass #1 was dancing with Dumbass #2 and she leaves the room with nothing but a t-shirt on and her skirt, I was hoping to see the ending where she ends his life.. But alas no I didn't get my wish. All I get is her having cut his head off, because she still loves him and forgives him and kills dumbass #2. Well, at least Dumbass #1 death was pleasing..

Even though Sekai is the one responsible for seducing him, I can't forgive Makoto for being the kind of spineless, two-timing bastard to give in to such temptation when he's already in a relationship. Both of them share the blame, and though Makoto did realize that he was wrong, it was only after none of the girls would answer their phone when he was looking for a quick fuck. He deserves to be stomped in the nuts, but he did eventually realize that what he was doing was wrong, and so deserves some credit.
Sekai, on the other hand, instead of stepping up and confessing to Makoto in the first place, chose to "help" him get Kotonoha, even though it would hurt her to see him with another girl, and by the time she was ready to confess to him, it was too late to remedy the situation without major drama. When Makoto finally made up his mind and decided to stay with Kotonoha, even after she lied to him about being pregnant to try and keep him or good, she pulled out the "If I can't have you, no one can" and killed him, so she deserved exactly what she got for both fucking around with Makoto's relationship, and for killing him out of spite.
