Shoujo manga these days.....

Is it me or is shoujo manga these days getting better in quality? I still remember when Shoujo mangas had so many cliches that if you read one. You've read them all. But nowadays, the shoujo mangas are getting more unique in storyline and actually makes you feel like its a masterpiece in the making.

No but i don't read shoujo manga precisely for the reason you said. There all pretty much the same. So could you name a few that you think are different.

Actually think that the new shoujo manga are getting horrible. More mtv whores and tards then good stories and romance. The koreans are getting better stuff.

One of the best would be Skip Beat.

Haven't read too many of the newer shoujo manga that has come out, but I definitely am a fan of Heart no Kuni no Alice, aka Alice in the Land of Hearts. Some other one's I've really enjoyed were Godchild, Alice 19th, Beauty Pop, and Never Give Up, though those aren't really considered "new".

I don't really like the Korean manwhas that much. Most of the shoujo authors can't draw well, everyone has huge dinner plate eyes and it seems to me that the author constructed the story in 1 night. Though I did like Crazy Girl Shin Bia, what annoyed me is that the author can't draw action for shit. The action scenes in that manhwa look faker than Power Rangers.

One thing about shoujo mangas that I have noticed is that they "all look same".

So I heard Chihayafuru is a shoujo manga. And I really love it.

So. Good. I didn't notice it was shoujo.
