Well after watching the School Day's anime twice, I am pretty much addicted to Japanese soap animes! I didn't think Makoto should of died, I thought that guy who raped Kotonoha should of been shanked! :twisted:

Mmm, the closest thing I can think of is Higurashi. Always starts off nice and happy and then they are off torturing and killing each other.

try watching Kanon, the KyoAni version (2006)
well, unlike School Days (both were based on their respective erogames), it's a little softer (no "harsh realities") and instead of one route, it's all the routes packed into one timeline, one season.
it has one particular ending (i assume that it was an ending) that made me cry ;)
as for now, i haven't watched anything else that could be as depressing as School Days (oh wait, there's a certain TsukiHime route)

Taisuke only raped Kotonoha in the game. In the anime she just goes retarded and has sex with him willingly and then tells him to leave her alone.

Kotonoha suffered such an emotional blow when she learned Makoto went to the bonfire dance with Sekai that she lost all will to do anything, including stopping Taisuke from having sex with her. So, I think it still qualifies as rape.

Kotonoha was too timid to even touch Makoto before he lusted after Sekai; Kotonoha started to become desperate after Makoto started screwing Sekai everyday, but he pretty much ignored Kotonoha and spent less and less time with her. The one and only time she had sex was with Taisuke, and she was thinking about Makoto the whole time while doing it too.
