So...after several years(6) ...i finally got to re-watch Spirited Away.
As a kid the first things that i remembered of the movie was the foreign emotion it gave me, and is still to this day - otherworldly.
Rewatching it, i realize the great many things that this movie captures was not necessarily the plot - Myazaki's idealistic virtue is not to my taste if you know what i mean, but its atmosphere.
An atmosphere is something beyond an emotion - beyond description. However you can always try.
I can't relate on how it felt, but what similar situation it felt like - it felt like parting ways with someone, forever. A feeling that you can't describe, but that you have a feeling that your life will have changed to no return.
It's that tinge of air, so to speak. Anybody know what i am talking about?
