Nike, the fourth princess of the Rain Dukedom, holds the power to call forth the rain. She travels to the Sun Kingdom to marry Sun King Livius for her country, despite her own reluctance in the matter. She soon discovers that the King, who conquered the world in only three years after his ascendance to the throne, is still a young boy. Despite being total strangers at first they start to understand one another and develop an emotional bond with each other.
This anime isn’t going to win any awards, but it is nice none the less. If you enjoy spunky characters and naked shota’s (the ed gives much to women’s shota complex fan service; pg-13 of course lol) then I would recommend this.
I'm a sucker for shoujo manga and yes, I like this show EXCEPT
Spoiler:
the pop song rain summoning. Totally different from how I imagined it.
Lol, I agree
Spoiler:
I sort of cringe with her poor pronunication of the english parts of the song, but still nice none the less. I was also hoping for something maybe more folk/alternative like Ar tonelico
i was hoping the rain summoning song would somehow be like "fallen Down" (sora no otoshimono) but well....still not bad except the "tender rain" part....
is hoping for more shota scenes
As with everyone here, I too cringe at the song used for summoning rain, makes rain summoning feel cheap in my opinion...
Outside that, I simply love this anime... I completely loose myself watching it, I love Nike, I love Livi, I love the effect they have on each other and how they are changing one another... These kind's of animes, where characters effect and deeply/genuinely change others through the duration of the anime, are so rare (I want to say "lately", but my memories of the past is vague). I love it when I don't have to question characters actions, character, and motivations... Where I can sit down and simply observe them living their life the way they would without any contradictions to their character.
It's been so long since there's been a good shoujo anime (opinion), so my dry spell is adding a lot to my love for this series...
So I was talking with some people previously who gave this series a lot of hate, and I'm wondering if there are people who are reluctant to touch the series. BUT I just want to say, I loved it. It could be because I like stronger female characters. The characters in this anime are great. The two main protagonists are the BOMB. It's probably not for everyone cause the male lead is a young child, BUT HEY, IT WORKS. And this is probably one of my favorites.

There are people that hate this show? I mean I guess there would be... but it couldn't be because of the characters. Like you said, the two leads are awesome! Of course, if it wasn't so well written, the low budget animation would be more noticeable.
