The next ep. preview shows a close up of Shinigami's mask (who may not be dead as they've got medical equiptment near him) and then Kid snaps off. My theory is that Shinigami transfers the last part of his soul to Kid so that he can go Chris Brown on Asura. :lol:

i would've preferred the manga route much much more..., though its decency merited the overall (not-so-dramatic) conclusion.

Edit:i just noticed, they seem to have used a lot of profanity in this ep, it's quite typical for black star, but kid too?
