Spice and Wolf Novels vs Manga

So I recently became addicted to Spice and Wolf, and obviously as it's incomplete, I wanted to read the books (and because I like reading) but I cannot decide weather or not I want the light novels or the manga. From what it seems, the manga ends roughly where season 1 of the anime ends and follows it closely, where as the novels are probably alot longer and if I'm correct they end at book number 17 (although the translated ones haven't gone past 6 yet) however 5 is the end of season 2 more or less. So in regards to something worth reading, which one would you recommend, I'm leaning towards the light novels, as manga is a little pricy for what little you actually read (it's a comic book, really) but I'm still looking into it, and beings as all three of the media outlets have stopped for one reason or another, I'm in a little jam of which one to get, so anyone have personal experience, get one or the other, maybe both?

I would advise you to get the novels. I have never read them, nor is it likely that I ever will, but the manga is jusst too short as it is now.

I have volumes 1-5 (Going to get the sixth within a week or so) of the translated ones and it is definitely worth it. I haven't read the manga but if it's only gone up to the first season of the anime, the novels are a better choice by far. Also Volume 4 was skipped entirely in the anime. Dunno if they're basing the manga off the anime as again, I haven't read it, but if they are you should definitely get the novels. Not to mention it's cheaper too (In the long run).

I've read both, novels are far superior.

One thing that is and will always be true: Original is and will always better than the adaptation.

Both are equal moe boring and mentality desu.
