Suzumiya Haruhi's Blu-Ray Debut

It's finally here!



This is the ultimate Haruhi collection, set to be released in October 2010, just before the Disappearance movie releases on Blu-Ray as well.

Contained within 8 Blu-Ray Discs are all 28 episodes of the series in full 1080p HD, featuring subtitles in either Japanese or English. Also included are live concert, "涼宮ハルヒの激奏" held in 2007 and the classical concert "涼宮ハルヒの弦奏" held in 2009.

As of speaking, the pre-orders are already through the roof. It is now ranked #1 on Amazon in both the Box'd DVD/BD section and Overall DVD/BD section, despite the release date still being 3 months away.



At ï¿¥29526 Yen (About $333 USD), this boxset is quite a modest price for what it offers. There are already plenty of reviews on Amazon from Haruhi fans praising the value of this incredible boxset.

For those of us who don't have a few hundred dollars to spare, this is still excellent news, because we can expect to see Endless Eight Haruhi again in delicious full-HD before the movie lands.

Whoa. I haven't watched Haruhi S2, but that first pic is heavily K-ON! influenced.

That's a lot of money, but it's super high quality so I guess it makes up for it, right?

Yeah, KyoAni. I thought they'd be able to keep they're old style though. But it's shows KyoAni history so it's cool.

So the Haruhi craze is still going on? I haven't seen Haruhi S2,largely because of the Endless Eight episodes, but I already read volumes 1-9 so I already know what happens. I already have the Suzumiya DVDs from season 1 so I don't think I'll be buying these any time soon.

Endless 8 sucked hard.

I personally thought the cinematography is amazing, considering they made 8 episodes from the same script without any reused footage.

2 seasons for over $300...what the fuck. Even for blu-ray disks that is just stupidly overpriced. I will buy it a week after release for under $100.

I'm just looking forward to getting the movie in blu-ray, coming back to my subbed camrip is giving my eyes cancer.

333 dollars is alot of money for 2 seasons, even if it is on blue ray. hopefully the price will fall down to something reasonable, cos i wouldn't mind buying this.

Have fun buying this and watching the same 8 episodes eight times. A very good way to spend your money when you could be spending it on something better.



Regardless it's the same eight episodes but then again only a complete fanatic would defend it to the death.
