Well time to mention another series worth watching, again I am talking about another Space themed anime, thou this is a hilarious sci-fi adventure series to say the least nano desu.
To add a little bit moar/go into detail War has begun between the United Planets Space Force and the Raalgon Empire, and here's Tylor stuck in the middle...typical. The rest is a recipe for win nano desu ^_^
The main character Justy Ueki Tylor (Age 20) is just great to watch, his composure throughout the whole series and his reaction to all that's going on around him, its just priceless. I think the icing on the cake is his VA Kouji Tsujitani (for those not aware, Inuyasha's Miroku!! Miroku!! nano desu! ^_^ )
As for our female lead Yuriko Star her ability to deal with all that's going on and put up with Tylor's lack of well...it's in title, responsibility...are worthy of her getting some kind of medal nano desu. Again her VA is Yuri Amano ( again someone you would have heard more of in the 90's, Saber Marionette's Lorelei, Magic Knight Rayearth's Alcyone)

Tylor stumbles his way into the space navy, and soon gains command of a destroyer, to the astonishment of his lieutenant, Yamamoto. It turns out, much to Yamamoto's dismay, that this ship is considered the dumping grounds of the military, and contains all the sorts of characters that should probably not even be let near a paintball gun, let alone a spaceship (Yamamoto and Yuriko Star seem to be the only recruits aboard who are both serious and sane).
