Well, the anime is quite a bit past the scanlations now.

Some Mikoto-centric screenshots make me want to give this show one last chance :P Will I loose out on anything important not having watched 16 and 17 ? I mean for the series as a whole - I don't care about that last stupid arc.

Hmmm .... technically I didn't announce dropping the series yet ...

The arcs seem to be quite random. Pretty much the only arcs that really matter is the "Index joins the party" arc and the Accelerator arc. Feel free to ignore the Angel's Fall sub-arc.
