To LOVE-Ru 162 (End)

I've been following this series since the beginning. I can't believe how fast two years flew by so quickly. The art has been excellent and consistent, and I've purchased all the tankobon as they release.

Even now, it simply shocks me how this series has so much potential, and it just ended abruptly here. ZeroOBK suggested polygamy, but I rejected this idea knowing Rito's personality. Guess we were both half right. Rito's shocked at the idea but he'll probably go for it in the end.

It's sad how he said he preferred Haruna more. Haruna has never been proactive enough for my liking (sorry Gambler). I wished it was a Lala ending in the end, but this is to be expected from a harem.

Overall, I'm not happy at all about this terrible ending. Again, so much unmet potential. This still gets 8/10 from me, for being fantastic while it lasted. I can't even begin listing the plotholes, so I won't.

I assume some better quality scans will be released in next few days right? It would be really bothersome if they weren't.

Yeah I would agree that the ending is really fast. Im still
shocked bout knowing that the chapter 162 will be the end.
Well maybe there will be another new series after all from
this artists so its not a bad idea after all. The great thing
bout this manga is their drawing consistency, compared to others
this one is really good at start till end so its really a
good thing to read.

It might have been better and a little slower paced (seriously, he found out he loved Lala and then confesses next chapter? Unheard of in TLR.) - they could have made extra long chapter or divide it in two.

Well, I figured at least Lala wouldn't mind, which she doesn't. A ruler of the universe can do anything he damn well wants to.

In any case, Harem End confirmed just like I suspected. Although it was unexpected that Rito was actually able to successfully confess to Lala. The Haruna confession failure became unexpected because the Lala confession worked. At least we have one last Yami grope for the road.

I wonder if Ryouko Mikado could be considered part of the harem now? Rito might have raised a flag there ...

Not a preferable ending to this impeccably drawn series.

PS: But I'm somehow hoping the authors can somehow revive this series somewhere. Like a To Love-Ru 2. Just wishing ^_^

NOOOOOOOO. The harem ending was just terrible. The story had such great potential only for it to end in a stalemate. I don't think I've ever been more disappointed a manga ending. And I agree with Imperialx in saying that for Lala to lose to Haruna is the epitomy of suck. Chapter 161 ends with Rito realizing his feelings for Lala and acknowleding that it was through her help that he became a better person, and this is followed by a him choosing Haruna in 162. That just makes no sense. Even throughout the entire toloveru story arc, I believe Rito shared more moments with Lala than with Haruna.

The only good thing I got out of this is knowing that Lala approves of my 4 other waifus.

What kind of shitty ending was this crap? I don't even consider that a harem ending.. it was just crap, damn the jap kids .. it their fault they killed this manga-_-. *rage*

I am really disappointed how things ended.
So they really did the harem-ending after all.
