[size=20]For those who might be interested in watching this series, spalose just did you guys a favor by uploading all of them 11 episodes in MU. Be sure to thank him and give him the credit for it.
No one beats the hell out of me! I'm the fuckin lord of this section! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! (I've already gone insane) - well, I'd certainly be hitting the sack once I'm through with this. - For the record (last time I've checked), I still pretty much am. 8)
Here's another quick preview of an upcoming summer title...
So, this is definitely something for a change of pace from the usual anime series that we get to see. The "earthquake" disaster themes may not really be something new but (just to be clear), this is not a goddamn Hollywood film; this is gonna be an awesome anime series! :D
Wiki wrote...
The series is set in Tokyo after an earthquake measuring 8.0 magnitude on the Richter scale shakes the city's foundations and landscape, resulting in the Tokyo Tower, Rainbow Bridge and other noted landmarks falling. It will follow siblings Mirai and Yutaka, who were visiting a robot exhibition on Odaiba on the occasion of their summer holidays having just begun, as they struggle to reach their mother in their house in Setagaya, assisted by a female motorcycle deliverer named Mari.
The fuck, this will be the replacement of Eden of the East on Fuji TV's noitaminA time-slot... Anyway, this is going to be co-produced by Bones and Kinema Citrus. Also, according to "Wiki", the concept of the series rooted from a prediction that there's 70% or higher chance of an earthquake measuring 7.0 magnitude on the Richter scale hitting Tokyo in the next 30 years. (Hmmm, I'm probably 6 feet under the ground by then) As much as I'd like to witness if such a "prediction" would come true, the question is, can this planet even hold itself "intact" until that time (appx 30 years from now) comes.
Chances are, I'd be enjoying this one. I'm gonna look forward to how "realistic" it would be. :D
I love the natural disasters genre (Volcano, Dante's Peak, Twister, the Perfect Storm, Day After Tomorrow, The Core[I know this was cheesy, but I liked it]). I'd probably enjoy this series a lot.
Holy FUCKEN SHIT that just blew me away 0.0 this shit definatly looks sick but what kind of series is it going to turn into is it going to be sci fish/ slice of life or what i cant really tell but it looks awesome none the less.
OP animation is more than enough reason to watch this (not really but I'll give it a shot if I were you). I'm undecided with abs' "Kimi no Uta"... the song's alright despite being mellow-ish than the band's usual sound, though I'm not sure it fits the series. ED was more plain in comparison but had a very nice feel to it thanks to Shion Tsuji's catchy song called "M/elody".
The animation's decent enough though I wasn't really expecting much in the character design department. I can see where they've actually decided to focus on and simplicity and all ain't that bad to me. Story wise, I like how it follows the perspective of a normal young middle(?) school girl with realistic issues concerning her family and such. Maybe not the most attractive series out there but I can definitely make it worth my time. The only thing that I strongly disliked was the report/news-flash at the very end of the episode... (maybe it's because of the reporter.. ?)
I don't know if I was gonna burst into tears (whenever those kids get separated with each other) or burst into laughter (when the aftershock struck, followed by all sorts of structures collapsing down on people).
Why does it seem like Mari is the only good person in the entire series?! Either way, they did a great job in showing how indifferent people are to one another in times of crisis such as this; all we ever do is think of our own selves/survival. Fuckin humanity, we will eventually meet our end someday! -If I'd be given the privilege of witnessing it, I definitely won't fuckin miss it for the world; I'll savor every second of it.
But not forgetting that I am human as well, just the mere thought of myself being in the same predicament as those people in the series terrifies me. I probably wouldn't know what to do that I'll just find a spot where I can sit, light a smoke, re-view my lifetime experiences, and just wait for my probable demise. Helping others is out of the question if I can't even help myself... Of course, I can't say for sure until I experience it first hand (though I most certainly hope not). -There's no hope of survival if ever my country gets hit with such a disaster. (no kiddin)
Those Kids almost died in that Earthquake but the Magnitude Haven't reach at 8.0
only 5.0 magnitude
There lives is Like a Survival game
in The Hand of an Angry God
Why is it every show I think somewhat decent and think to myself, "I should make a topic for this" you beat me to the chase!? I haven't seen an anime I enjoyed in months (Since the last Higurashi episode to be exact) but after seeing this I can't go on saying that anymore.
I am loving this show. Truth be told I skipped fifteen minutes of the first episode to the earthquake scene but the earthquake scene was amazing. I found myself actually tearing up as the girl was yelling for her brother (No tears just tearing up. I am a man after all) Personally I would have enjoyed it more if her brother was crushed and she lay crying trying to move the shelf as the women tried effortlessly to pull her away but... fuck it I'm dissapointed the boys still alive.
I stopped at episode 2 because I had other things to do and didn't actually thing I would like the series. I'll probably watch the rest of the released episodes soon (Within the week) and update this post.
THIS SERIES IS GOOD SO FAR! I love the animation by the way. Its great.
The second series that I've finished this season. Man, this has got to be the most heartfelt series/finale of all time for me. I'm not gonna lie, I cried for most of the entire episode from when they finally got home up until the end.
Gotta say that it was such a great experience/watch for me.
I kinda been behind on this and just now began catching up nano desu, and yes I've cried a few times so far already, something didn't sit right with me towards the end of episode 9 and then the beginning and title of 10 just backed up my theory, and that led to more sadness, now onward to episode 11 nano desu
For starters, yea I cried a lot during this last episode, and the whole series in general had me in tears a lot towards the final episodes, now its over and its time to move on, I think I am gonna go watch something comical to get the tears away, this series will stick with me, its definitely in my top 5 for the season nano desu.
Also, to anyone that is interested in watching this great series here are all 11 episodes for you all, I post them here cuz I strongly believe that they should be posted in this, the "Tokyo Magnitude 8.0" thread nano desu, anyway hope you all like the series as much as I and other did nano desu.
Thanks bro, I appreciate it a lot. I was just thinking how convenient it is if we could only highlight that post of yours for better visibility. Well, I suppose you should just edit your post and improvise a little; however you see fit :) (+rep)
PS: I'm very pleased to know that you've also enjoyed this. :D
This is a good series, I enjoyed watching this anime. Watching the destruction that resulted from and earthquake and how it affected the people in Tokyo and the main character. As usual Studio Bones impresses me with a good anime, some of the episode really surprises me. However I still think they kinda overdid with a certain event relating to Yuuki. Overall its an awesome anime worth watching.
Moral of this anime: Be careful of what you wish for. :)
