Some of you are going to argue that Umi Monogatari does not feature all that many schoolgirls, so Gambler should not be talking about it. However, it does feature the female characters in skimpy outfits, which is always relevant on hentai sites. :D After all, with a storyline related to the ocean, it is inevitable for the girls to be dressed in swimsuit-like outfits.
Moving on to the storyline, Marin and Urin are sisters who live in the ocean, although they aren't exactly mermaids. One day, both sisters chanced upon a beautiful ring falling into ocean. Upon retrieving it, Marin is determined to return the ring to its rightful owner, supposedly a high school girl living on an island. What adventures await Marin and Urin when they venture onto dry land? What significance does the ring hold? And most importantly, how does magic come into play?
Once again, expect magical transformations as seen in the trailer below. I believe full nudity, at least for the upper part of the human body, will only be available in the DVD version, but that isn't going to stop me from watching Umi Monogatari... for now. ;)
Trailer:
Official anime website, which I would say is very nicely done, especially the introduction:

I knew it! That's why I kept my hands off of this series. I was so certain that you'll eventually create a thread for this sooner or later. I ought to know by now how much you love ecchi themed series!
Anyway, as much as first impressions are concerned, it does have quality animation and a soothing nature-feel to it. (Shows you how important those backdrops are!) On the other hand, the "transformation sequence" more or less indicates that there's going to be some sort of supernatural fighting involved in its plot. Now that's a turn off. It reminded me of Sailor-Moon to be honest. Not that it's totally a bad thing but in any case, I'm still gonna give it a shot. :D
Like hermit said the transformations make it look like it's Sailor Moon orientated but the plot seems interesting and the ecchiness involved is a pro so I'd say I give it a shot.
I do agree like the others, while I do admit I did watched Sailor Moon a long time ago I no longer watched this genre of anime. However I might give the first episode a try out of curiosity...
I just watched the first episode and realized it's a mermaid story, just the perfect show to set me into the summer vacation mood. The artwork is really good and the swim suit is mild but lovable fanservice. I'll continue following this show. The sailor moon like powers appear in episode 2 and elder turtle is so funny.
Well I had every intention of watching this after reading initial story line summaries prior to the shows airing, and now after watching the first 2 episodes I love it even moar, don't ask why, I really don't know, it's just got everything I love, and I get the feeling there will be even moar, and Urin is my fav for those who couldn't tell, thou that doesn't mean I don't like Marin and Kanon, any way this series will most likely be the highlight of the each week for me nano desu, and perhaps moar posting in the anime section nano desu ^_^
At first i was certain that the Voice seiyuu for Kanon is the same with Hana Morenos at Michiko to Hatchin. But it looks like i fail.
Damn with the same dialect..
This anime have a good char design but an irrelevant Background music, or maybe they knowingly do that for give some special effect..
