Valkyria Chronicles Epi 1

So, they changed a few things and added a few scenes. Nothing that really matters though. Seems they stretched it out for time.



The Imperial invasion of Bruhl starts. Introductory of Alicia, Welkin, Isara, Susie, and the two guys I've forgotten. That's pretty much it, right?

Recognize any of these face? You should!

Out of all the new series that I've seen, this one's by far the most compelling. It has most of the aspects that I always look forward to when watching an anime, and most importantly, it's quite fun to watch with a lively and likable bunch of characters. (the ED in particular pretty much showcased most of them) - it was funny along with the song and the walking "winged-pig w/a medal" :lol: (I haven't been playing any games at all, comes without saying that I haven't gotten into playing this one either) - I know, it's such a shame but at the same time, it's just as good that I wouldn't really have any issues with comparisons and dealing with the predictability of the story.

And Marina Inoue playing as Alicia is already a huge plus for me; :D while Susumu Chiba voices Welkin... for a change :lol: (for some reason, I can only remember him as Kondou in Gintama)

I'm definitely looking forward for more of this series!
(now, all that's left to see is Eden of the East)


Anyone would surely be astonished upon seeing something that HUGE! :lol:

It's hard to get used to Welkin's voice since you can't change the language in the game. I can't wait for the next episode. :D

Eh..you can change from English to Jap ( with eng subs).


Anyway - an AWESOME game that might get more than it deserve with the help from the anime.

I liked it, the characters are really likeable and the settings of the world is really interesting. Also world war style weaponry and tanks are something that I a fascination with and this anime have it. Interestingly the way the characters are coloured are quite similar to the game though I haven't played the game. The good thing of not playing the game is that I have no idea what will be happening next which will keep it interesting for me.

Good first episode, looking forward for the next one.

I finally watched this, but to be honest I'm not impressed, and the girl annoyed me the entire time I heard her denying the guy.

You know, sometimes there are series that rub you the wrong way by first glance. This series was one of them, and I know it's not my style to discriminate a series based on its first episode, but it's not appealing to me. Maybe because I feel like the plot's dumb and the characters dumber? I dunno, but if I put down a series, I usually provide valid reasons. (See my post on Tayu Tayu.)

Yeah, it's okay dood. It was more along the lines of dumbstruck, or loss for words? I'm not offended or anything. :P

Welkin annoyed me when I first started playing the game. But he grew on me as the story progressed.

For shame tsujoi, FOR SHAME! :lol:
I liked his English VA voice, I thought it fit him perfectly. :o

Well the voice wasn't what bothered me. It was more his character/attitude.
