White Album episode 8

I'm basically lost for words...

After Rina took a break from recording, Eiji decided to let Touya hear Yuki's "raw" vocals.
(I can't wait to hear how the full version of the song will sound like)

Anyway, the first half of this episode mostly featured Rina and Touya's chat. Well, it'd take a whole lot out of me to detail every single thing they've talked about. I'd just mention some things that were said which might have some sort of implications or meaning.


I was certainly pleased to see a lot of Rina this time. :D

Before that, this must have been your favorite scene, right spalose?

Haruka was being harassed by these two damn ugly molesters whom she might have accidentally bumped into, while she was deep in her thought. Luckily for her, Mana was there to save the night! :lol: Yes, she actually did. Mana posed as Haruka's acquaintance, delivered an award winning act while at it, and drove those bastards away with one hell of a scream!!!
(I'd give credit to Haruka Tomatsu for that) :lol:
And this time around, it's Haruka whom she's suspecting to be Yuki. Such a cute yet cheeky kid. (exactly how old is she again?) :lol:

Poor Yuki, as she still wasn't able to reach Touya through constant phone calls. Yayoi on the other hand seems to have a "stalker." (I couldn't blame that person) Yayoi is pure WIN! :D Damn you Touya, you lucky bastard you! :x

How the heck did Haruka manage to get in Touya's apartment? This girl is also something. She even slept comfy on Touya's bed. The dream, what was her dream about. All that I've gathered was they were childhood friends. So that's probably one of the first encounters of the couple. Judging by the silhouette, it had to be Yuki and the boy crying had to be Touya. But all of a sudden, the girl who was holding the light became Mana. (I'd give my interpretation of it later, probably)
It has bothered me for awhile now how cold Touya responds to Haruka each time. It's not that he treats her bad, but the way he talks to her is somewhat as if she's annoying or something... I wonder why. :roll:

Btw, Touya remains to be a very busy man. (helping Misaki, tutoring Mana, Echoes...)
and not to forget to mention about Yayoi who still drives him home on a regular basis. (is that really all that happens) :wink: Yuki seems to be quite busy with work herself. Her debut is closing near, I just know it. Eiji somehow has planned it out already.

My thoughts are in disarray...damn it!

Touya went out with Haruka to buy a present for Rina's b-day yet he didn't bother with Yuki's! WTF?! And after awhile of not being able to see or talk with her, he just gave her a silent treatment. Their relationship is really going through haywire right now and it's quite easy to see why.

All of this showbiz and music industry stuff is adding on to the picture. Bets relating on who's gonna get to perform where, Yuki's, and Rina's live performances, etc... There's a lot to take in this episode alone that is simply causing my head to ache!

And what kind of punishment is that?! :o

I can't get my thoughts straightened out... my brain feels awfully tired for some reason, that I can't give a proper summary of this episode. spalose, could you please take over the rest? - if there's still something else that I might have forgotten to mention...

I'd say u did a good job there, there were a lot of moments, conversations that could be broken down and further analyzed, but that's for the individual viewer to do on there own. So i'll just put in my thoughts.
As for my fav scene, Mana FTW!

Its for sure that Eiji has a plan for Yuki, and its quite funny how the other President goes "it's the other one" all this anticipation is getting to me, I wanna see this plan/event.
As for that silence between Yuki and Touya, with all that's been happening you can't expect a conversation at the moment, thus the visual thoughts really help paint the picture, as for later in the car, for some reason I just felt like smacking Touya, doing that and the only thought displayed were "Sorry Misaki-san I'll be a little late"
I understand how you got in this disarray hermtit, this episode did deliver, but it left an after taste I didn't want, not a bad one, just something I wasn't ready for.

I felt sad for Yuki. :(
And at the end with Yayoi, I was like hot-damn! :D

*Takes breath*


Anyway when I watched this episode, I was wondering if the production company have something against Haruka seeing what she have to go through in the whole series. Like Touya I'm surprised how she could get in his apartment. I laughed when Touya asking her if she's a ninja. Haruka is full of surprises. Also, buy her the shoes Touya!

While I'm happy with Haruka, I'm feeling sad with Yuki... And Touya willingly accepts Yayoi kiss. Geh, he's a good guy but his action on this episode makes me angry and a little bit envious as well...

anyway, the silence is a given, I just wasn't able to think clearly and come up with the right thing to say about it. And Touya, afterwards with Yayoi, hmmm... he's only proven that he's a g'damn man! who can possibly resist such a form of temptation(Yayoi)?! I can comprehend through that matter though. (if I had wanted to smack Touya, it would have been of pure envy) :x :lol:

and not actually, it wasn't that which messed up my thoughts. It was Rina and her conversation with Touya, that's what I kept thinking about the most. I simply loved her more in this episode but I can't discard this eerie feeling that I had when she said to Touya: (according to Eclipse's translation) "Don't think of me as a Goddess anymore, okay? Tomorrow, I may turn into a devil." and when she handed Touya her schedule... it somewhat signifies that she'd probably end up as the antagonist (villain of sort). I certainly hope not, or at least NOT in a despicable way! :roll:

Forgot to mention as well that there was another change in the ED sequence. One of the things that I've been trying to figure out for awhile now. (it has some sort of relation to each of the character's past) or am I just putting so much thought into it yet again. :?

about my interpretation of Haruka's dream...
Like I've already said, it definitely has something to do with Touya and Yuki's past. I can only assume that Haruka was able to see it due to the mere fact that she could have been there, knowing that she and Touya were childhood friends (as I recall from the previous episodes)... But when Mana became a part of it... the only meaning that I was able to deduce from it was a lifesaver/hero/savior, or maybe even a Goddess, since they've been using that term ever since the beginning. Yes, a Goddess would be the most appropriate term. Since I've always wondered why Touya treats Yuki as his Goddess, as well as he refers to the other girls who might have done him a favor. Do I need to elaborate on why I think so? (it's so obvious right?) - I was hoping spalose could have mentioned something about this... am I the only one with such an interpretation?

The best thing I've liked about this series is its scenario building, wherein I can't roughly analyze what's going to happen next. I hate excessive straightforwardness and I don't see any of the sort here. I don't like being fed off with all of the obvious facts and answers. This is the epitome of what a mature romance series is about. (despite having mostly female characters, it has maintained its consistency) - so far so good, for me. :D (still my top favorite anime of the season)

Yes, this episode made me facepalm when Touya forgots Yuki's birthday, but remembered Rina's.
