Cosplayer Purchase?

Just finished MCM Expo and I went as a Jedi and it was awesome. But for the next convention I'm thinking of going as MasterChief but I want to know if there's anywhere you can buy License Armour? and if its adjustable?

I don't care about the price. My height is 5'6 or 5'5 (I tend to slouch sometimes) So I need to find out if there's a costume that's size adjustable and an authentic Chief armor?

Did a quick search and found this, it is preeetty expensive, though.

[font=Times New Roman]It's not that expensive - It is however a big rip-off when looking at the quality..It looks good on image but in reality it looks crap. The materials broke and bend off after first use and the strapping's ripped. What's worst the Helmet is totally see through.

My friend bought this and he returned it the first day because of those things. I myself have decided since I can't buy a pre-made costume that looks good both on image and in real. So I decided to have a professional costume/prop maker make it for me.

Currently there's an estimate of £1500 but it could increase to £2000-2500 if I decide to go with more high quality materials. [/font]

i dont get it, why people spend this much on cosplaying,
when you can get costume for free

I'm t[font=Times New Roman][/font]he kind of person who does things properly or not at all. So when I decided I wanted a cosplay of Halo I wanted the best or near the best or none at all.

Also Lol thats a nice pic..What convention is that?

It will be hard to find a quality full suit, I have tried looking for one myself. Most Master Chief costumes are like that one, if you want a proper one and money isn't a big deal you should try to see if you can find a commissioner or buy the suit in pieces (that usually takes time though.)

Yeah that's what I'm doing. I'm meeting with them this 30th to discuss some options and the costume itself. Then If I want to go ahead with them I'll commission them to start at the end of February or the start of March.

Was planning to commission them to finish it by december or january but with xmas happening to be the the spending time of the year I thought I'll play it safe and only focus on xmas gifts and parties and the costume later.[/font]

But update - I'm not buying that anymore - Instead I'm buying a Stormtrooper authentic outfit for I think £800 or so. Then join the 501st Legion and Rebel Legion once I decide to take a picture of my Jedi Outfit.

And spend the rest of my money that I'm supposed to use for the halo costume for some acting and dance classes. Since I want to go back and re-audition for Disneyland paris.[/font]
