about Doujinshi

Since Fakku only seems to be supporting several major magazines right now, is there any plan on including Doujinshi into the mix?

Because if there isn't then it'd be a damn shame

They already have two doujins done already, but the artist has to sign off to get them available on site or print. As tradition they might be limited run. Bosshi xxx mix had a small run for anime expo and the 100 printed for store sell.

Jacob said a while ago that parody works are a bit of a sketchy area, because a lot of magazine publishers don't like working with parody works. As well as the laws in america make it tough. We might get them, but it'd possibly require a lot of negotiation and legal insight, so they don't get reamed

Right now it's mainly a matter of being efficient. Entering a partnership with a publisher grants us access to hundreds of artists and thousands of works, whereas working with a single artist only give us access to a handful of works (especially if we limit it to original doujinshi). I personally would like to see a system in the future where it would be easy for artists to have their original works published here, but we would need to build a platform for that first.

Expanding the subscription service with more magazines is our current priority, but after that I think it would be nice to work on a doujinshi platform.
