Hello. I've been using Fakku for a number of months now and I've noticed a frequent issue for hentai manga and doujinshi alike. The issue being that many works made by the same artist or group of artists are being categorized differently and separated due to either the artist having multiple aliases/spellings/translations, different artists being attributed to a work that was a cooperative effort, artists and circles being confused and misused respectively, etc.
While this problem seems minor and unimportant to your fapping endeavors, I feel like it should at least be the topic of some coherent discussion. Having the works of an artist dispersed and differentiated between that artist's different pen names is something that occurs regularly on this site. Granted, the issue is more of a harmless annoyance than a grave misfortune, I still think it makes searching for your favorite artist's works a bit more aggravating. In some instances, I've even seen works within the same series being tagged under different artists for no apparent reason.
Another issue that becomes apparent is the misunderstanding, or plain misuse, of an artist's pen name and their affiliated groups/circles. This could easily be reconciled by a number of easy solutions, however. Some of these solutions include tagging both the artist's circle and name on each of their work, or maybe creating a new category for the circle that released the manga/doujinshi, provided that it was in fact released through that channel. I'm not trying to be unnecessarily alarmist or put too much importance on this issue, but I do think that resolving it would allow the site to function more coherently and with less inconsistencies.
For reference, I've included some examples of this problem occurring on several works, listed below:
-
Karakishi Youhei-dan vs
Karakishi Youheidan vs
Karakishi Youhei-dan Shinga
-
Sahara Wataru vs
Sunahara Wataru
-
Umetarou vs

-
Takuji vs
Ohtomo Takuji
-
Mizuryuu Kei vs
Mizuryu Kei vs
Kei Mizuryu vs
Alice no Takarabako (on an unrelated note, this work is just titled the name of the artist?
Mizuryu Kei)
-
Henkuma vs
HBO
-
Chiba Toshirou vs
Celluloid Acme vs
RUNNERS HIGH
(While compiling this list, which encompasses just a few of the examples I've seen over the last year, I've realized that the issue between circle and artist seems to be more prevalent on this site.)
