I just wanted to offer some positive feedback on a recent customer service issue with an order. Previously, I'd ordered several books including "Kogals, Sluts, and Whatever" by Gujira (and for the love of God license more like this one!) Anyway, when I got my copy, it had a black mark on the dust jacket right on Techi's face. Of all the girls in the book, I liked Techi best so it bugged me like crazy that there was this black mark. I tried to get it off but it's basically dirt that got on the dust jacket before they applied that shiny clear coat stuff.
Anyway, I wrote to Fakku's customer service when I finally realized I just couldn't stand that mark. Word for word, here is what I wrote:
I recently received my order and the dust jacket for "Kogals, Sluts, and Whatever" has a defect. Normally, I wouldn't care much but it's this black spot right on the face of my favorite girl in the book. Can I order a replacement dust jacket for the book? I'm not asking for a replacement book because the book's fine and, if the spot were anywhere else but right on Techi's face, I probably wouldn't be bothered enough to ask about a replacement dust jacket. Please let me know if it would be possible to get a replacement dust jacket and what it would cost. Thank you and I hope to order again soon!
I swear, I never asked for a whole book to be sent.
So recently I got something from Fakku: a whole new copy of "Kogals, Sluts, and Whatever" instead of just a dust jacket!
Now that's customer service. I know lots of companies do replace whole things like this but Fakku's not a giant publisher so I'm really impressed by the willingness to send a whole replacement book and not even ask for the old one to be sent back or anything.
Thanks Fakku! Guess who plans to make another order this month!
