Consecutive posting

I'm not sure if this is a feature specifically placed to prevent comment spamming or whatnot. However, it seems that if I want to place two comments on one thread specifically, it has me edit the comment I just posted rather than place a completely new one. I'd like to be able to post two separate posts if I have two ideas to place or if I have one comment to respond to thread and another to respond to a comment posted on the same thread. So if this is a bug, could this be fixed. But if the posting system is designed this way, I completely understand.

I think the current system is fine. But, instead of disabling double posts altogether, have a time based system where if a thread hasn't been posted in for a certain amount of time, allow double posting.
