I remember emotes. Or to be more exact, I remember my dislike of them. People use them too much, everything in moderation. I don't want this place to look like DeviantArt.

i agree some basic emoticons would be a nice touch.
yes dA is swamped with all of that stuff...so excessive. BUT I LOVE IT!! but i would rather not want it go as overboard here in the forums.

I just hope there won't be any auto-smileys where you mean to type something else or some ascii art and some parts of it turn into smileys. Other than that I'm fine with it, though it's not a complete necessity imo.
