It's gotten to the point that the second someone cries "sell out", I dismiss them immediately. They have no facts or arguments. When did Jacob say he was better than anyone else?...I'm waiting.
At this point they all look like butt-hurt parrots, they are not interesting and are mostly factually incorrect.
And if any of them are serious and not simply trolling, then they need to actually read what and why this is happening and not jump to conclusions.
You really think these crybabies are going to read through all the pages and actually read the facts about why this was done?
Man that in itself is a challenge to them cause , "tl dr". If they cared so much they would of just looked for the facts themselves instead of having to cry shill and sellout while jumping to conclusions based on NOTHING factual except emotional rage.
I have concluded at this point that anyone that tries to slander and make false accusations should be ignored at this point and FAKKU doesn't need someone(s) like that for its future.

Point is, if there's a way to have a separate rate per country, that'll be good for all since not everyone can afford $12 like I said earlier.
3. This is third so make it my three cents. Though I don't think this is doable but for the scanlated ones, how about doing a weekly spotlight or say, these contents get uploaded on the site on a certain day and then it gets removed on the next day. I guess that's a win-win situation for all.
Lastly, to end my own State of The Nay-Shun 2016, I'll still remain a lurker, hoping for anything good to happen. If there'll be none, consider me as your once bestfriend. That'll be all. Thank you.
adult sites don't charge per country. mainly because they don't block content per country.

just like Spotify PH has stuff that doesn't exist in US servers and vice versa. even more so on Japanese servers and vice versa.
same goes for apple music. same goes to the new Netflix we have (93% us content not available)
you want to go like that? regional pricing? tied in with regional content blocking? cheaper but less? pretty sure adult sites don't do that.
oh, and pay for your porn for starters, son. don't make our country more pathetic than it already is.

No kidding, I've lost count the number of times I've rolled my eyes every time someone acts like they're a longstanding customer just because they've been visiting for years. Yeah yeah, there's some ad revenue, but many people run adblockers so that's moot then. Heck if anything there's a fair chance that they've been a net cost to the site money by using bandwidth. Do they think Fakku has to reach a certain threshold of visitors everyday or something?

it's not a bad decision. it's the most correct one, both legally and morally. something that shows you lack. have some decency to be a man for starters, and stop doing stupid stuff in the internet just because you have anonymity in your disposal.

You built your popularity on the backs of pirated and free content, and now that you have sufficient people watching, your action is to now force them to pay and that's not cool.
You could have easily done a "donations for licensing" or hell, slapped a "support the artist" button until it reached a certain number. Instead you took the worst pirate rout you could come up with.

As much as I know it would cause slight problems, could we adjust the banner on the top of the site to include a separate post that explains why this needed to happen, not just that it did? It seems like people don't seem to understand the legal ramifications that led to this opportunity.

This leads to an unfortunate situation, like Tels mentioned on page 1, there's not really been anything in the subscription service that's appealed to me over recent months. I love this site, i bought PuniKano immediately, despite it not really appealing to me, purely to support the site. I've been looking for a reason to subscribe for a long time.
The variety of genres does look to be improving, but it's a bit of a leap of faith going from what i can see of the cover art, to paying for the content, and now there's nothing without subscription, i have moved to a different site.
Hopefully you get quantity of releases i want to read, back to what it once was, and subscribing will be a no-brainer, but as i say the situation is very unfortunate.

But i will say goodby. I understand the decision for the licensed material as manga or magazine publication but all those doujin who are gone...
The doujin are publish in few quantitity with no oversea sell or translation. The artist didn't receive money but a lot of them aren't pro just passionate by they hobby. For me, remove the doujin side is a terrible mistake.
And i'm french and prefer to paid my ero manga here.

Support: give assistance to, enable to function or act. If it weren't for us free users going around telling people about this site, then it'd have even LESS traffic then it already does. So yes, even if we dont buy a sub to this site, we're STILL supporting it.
IT's not a bad decision? Removing material and asking for a ridiculous price is a good move? There's a reason Netflix STOPPED that decision you know that right?

Still, even if you expect to be ignored, that is no reason to go out of your way to ensure it will happen. They may be angry now, but once they cool down and see how Fakku evolves, they may be again be potential customers. No need to drive them away with fanning the hate even more.

You realize your first part just revolves around back to the part where I said that "People actually DO buy things when they can afford." Sure, I don't know the exact number. But I do this practice myself. So maybe it's more than we think. Maybe it's less. who knows? What I do know is, people DO do this.
And again, maybe artists just want the word spread around? We don't know that. The word that does go around contributes to them too.
