Front Page Polls

Well this may be an odd idea, but what I’m suggesting is that there should be more Front page polls. Right now we have a poll about ever month maybe even longer. Most polls on Fakku will get anywhere from 30-100 votes. The front page will get a couple thousand in a really short time. I’m always interested in what the community’s opinions on things are.
I’m suggesting we have a poll about every 1 or 2 weeks. There are a ton of poll ideas Jacob could steal from the forums.
So what about it yes it’s a cool idea, no it’s pointless. Your comments and opinions?

I don't know if that was brought up anywhere but Jacob could use TMS' GARfest and use it as Frontpage Polls. But seeing that he has to change that like every day I think it's not that good of an idea.
As a matter of fact more polls sounds like a good idea.

I vote yes for more frequet polls have the same one staring you in the face for months is kinda boring

Meh, the less time they spend on polls the more they probably spend improving the site in other ways.

Sure, maybe some polls will lead to lulzy retards arguing with one another but they aren't really that important, or exciting for that matter. It's like instant gratification, since you vote, see the poll, get exciting/disappointed depending on who you voted for and whether they're winning or not, leave an opinion, then forget about the poll from then on. It's not really an important aspect of fakku, and I wouldn't care what Jacob decides to do with it either way.

We can say the Front Page polls are worthless, but if we're going to head down that path, why bother having the polls at all?
The polls are a little bit of fun, and having only one poll a month (or even longer) really diminishes that fun. We kind of have to ask "Why do we have them?" if they're not going to be changed often.
The easiest way to solve this problem (if you want to call it that) would be to allow people to submit ideas for polls. That way, Jacob & co don't have to spend time thinking up an idea, they can just put what someone has said as the thread and let it go.
As for how people could suggest ideas, it could be done by PM, but that would probably mean Jacob's inbox filling up with a bunch of unimportant stuff. Instead, we could have a thread where people suggest ideas for polls, and Jacob can just give a quick look through the thread and decide which ideas he likes. If he likes a lot of ideas, then he can even make a list of them and have enough polls for a few months; the only effort he'd have to put forth then would be looking at the list and changing the polls.

The main reason I don't make new polls is because I can't think of good polls. I am open to suggestions.

Try making a front news thread about it. My suggestion would be a poll asking which type of weapon someone would prefer.(i.e. Sword, Gun, Fists, Explosives, etc.)
